Discord name: GreenWarden#8760
For how long have you played on CG SCP: about a week
Age: 24
In what country are you located?: Ireland
Time zone: GMT
Character name(s): Charlie Miggins
Civilian name: Harold Pinkman
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- None
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- No
Why are you applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador?
- Since I joined I immediately worked toward getting into IA, and I joined on my second or third day on the server. I enjoy both the humorous, but also the serious rp elements that come with individuals breaking the code of conduct and ethics. I believe I've met each Ambassador by now, almost every Agent, and they are all very amiable people and enjoyable to work alongside. I would like the opportunity to work more directly alongside the other Ambassadors and take a more active role in ensuring both the integrity and morale of department stay great.
What makes you suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador?:
- Though I am fairly new here, I have a lot of experience in other IA and leadership positions (not in SCP-RP) of about 3 years now. So I understand that while it would be my responsibility to make sure rules are upheld, I also understand it's important to make sure that everyone is still also having a good time, and I know the work it takes to keep a department running smoothly. Just because you're IA doesn't mean you have to be harsh, but you do still have to make sure people understand that they can enjoy themselves, but conduct still needs to be followed. I've taken the time to experience each role within the facility, and I still prefer IA above the others. I believe it's also partly the duty of IA to help new members of the facility find their footing, and I do enjoy helping people and seeing them find their place.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
- So far, I have only written two documents. One of them being a Research Study on a cross test as a Researcher, the other being common discrepancies I've noticed within the facility that we need to keep an eye on. A good document is one that you have sat down and taken the time to put effort into. But a document is not all about having lengthy paragraphs and pages upon pages of info. A good document is about presentation, easily readable, eye catching images (where necessary!), and making sure the main points get across to your audience. Details are key, but make sure they are memorable and can be summarised easily.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Ambassador in RP?:
- The responsibility of the Internal Affairs Ambassador is to maintain the integrity of the Foundation. They ensure that both their Agents and other Site Staff are following the Code of Conduct, and upholding Ethics. Should there be an issue with an Agent, or an incident involving someone above Internal Affairs Agents' clearance level, those cases would be taken to the Internal Affairs Ambassador and it is then their duty to ensure that those individuals are dealt with accordingly, and to inform the necessary command members of their staff's misconduct.
It is also their duty to conduct menial jobs such as instructing Agents to position themselves around the facility accordingly in order to maximise efficiency and ensure they're covering all the necessary areas to keep a lookout for any discrepancies.
Lastly, it is their duty to ensure that new IA Operatives are trained and tested accordingly.
Please give some lore about your Internal Affairs Ambassador character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Charlie Miggins was enjoying the countryside of the fair Emerald Isle, taking a break from his day to day city life. He'd heard rumours of Will-o'-the-Wisp sightings in the nearby woods by the little village he'd been staying in. Being inclined to superstitious theories, this peaked his interest. So, he'd decided he'd captured a photo of this phenomenon with a few other villagers, some hoping the Wisps would guide them to their destinies, others just wanting to catch a glimpse of this beautiful creature.
Sure enough, that night when they were all settled down, lurking through the woods like hunters searching for prey...there it was...some form of cloud-like luminous free floating...thing. Charlie snapped a picture, and as the flash lightened up the forest the Wisp swiftly flew to the crowd. One of the others reached out and waved their hand through the Wisp. Their skin began to very quickly turn cold..and blue. They gasped for air as their breath could be seen leaving them. Charlie shoved the others away and took hold of the freezing villager as they all began to run, screaming through the forest. The others got free as Charlie tripped over, the now statue-like, cold-as-ice villager stuck on top of him as the Wisp came closer.
Suddenly, multiple figures in strange biohazard looking suits crested over a hill and a ray of light with immense heat beamed down at the Wisp as it began to float away. One of the figures ran toward Charlie as the biohazard men ran after the Wisp. He felt a sting in his neck as everything began to go black.
When Charlie awoke, he found himself in what seemed like some sort of sterile medical room, surrounded by individuals dressed in black suits. He was questioned on the sighting, the pictures he took, but also commended for his act of trying to get the citizen away as the others got to safety...though he was already dead. So, the Foundation took Charlie in.
