What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I am applying for the role of Ethics Committee Member and The main reason why i am applying for ECM is because of my time within E-11 and achieving the rank of Commander. Having been commander for almost 200 days, I have come to the understanding of what it means to lead and properly run a Department. I am also a good pick for ECM due to my activity, experience and understanding of site politics and policy. As an ECA i feel like I've got a good grasp on how ECM should act whilst on site and what they do. I have also learned how to reform to non-combative life as a ECA.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
I am well acquainted with the site's Code of Ethics, Server rules, and policies. I take an active part in user complaints and issues, and I do my best to remedy and resolve them. I am friendly and approachable, and I try to create in game situations to foster roleplay and build good community atmosphere. As E-11's commander, I've had the pleasure of working with and developing roleplay, understanding the dynamics between the leaders of departments and their members, and helping contribute to the efforts of improving RP experiences. I've also coordinated joint efforts in support of multiple groups, such as the collaboration between the DOMs and the Nu-7 regcom personnel. I feel I can be heavily committed to the role and using my experience as E-11's commander, can introduce more RP scenarios between departments.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?
-Maintaining the Code of Ethics
Assisting with updates to Code of Conduct when requested
Liaison with O5 council
Welfare of all site personnel including D-Class
Selection of Internal Affairs directors
Oversight of the D-Class Work Program
Authorizations of KOS past airlock
Conversations between GOIs
Participation in High Court tribunals serving as the judge in certain circumstances
Wellbeing of site personnel
Calling ERT
Nuking the site
Authorizations of AA
Authorizations of Mass D-Block Terms
Issuing orders to Omega-1 as well as Assistants
Tribunals for the higher ranking individuals
too ensure that the SCP Foundation never engages in unnecessary actions that do not serve the greater good.
They determine what is acceptable and what is not in pursuit to reach that goal.
