What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
To be honest, I do not see myself as the best candidate for ethics assistant.
But I have served time in Omega-1 and some Internal Affairs to get a grasp of the Code of Ethics, Legal Codex, and Code of Conduct, which makes me feel that I could be suited for the position.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
Ethics Committee Assistants follow and answer to the Ethics Committee. While Ethics members are on site, they listen to them and their bidding, without question nor hesitation. While Ethics are not on site, they can assume the role of ethics. They gain the responsibility of an Ethics Committee Member, doing many things that an Ethics Member does, monitoring the site, and can order Omega-1 until an Ethics Member arrives on-site.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Kyle Morgan used to be a member of a Search and Rescue team. Usually he would go out around twice a week for some sort of snow avalanche rescue to save some unfortunate skiers. But on one particular day, he had a strange feeling. It had been two weeks, and nobody had called for any rescue teams. While speaking with the rest of the team, he heard static from the radio. Eventually, there was a voice through the static.
The team got ready to depart, grabbing all the gear they needed and departed.
Kyle had an uneasy feeling. It didn't sit right with him that the radio had been silent for two weeks then a distress call with a large amount of static.
An hour after arrival, and nobody is in sight. There were large amounts of an unknown black substance left in the snow. After 3 hours of searching the mountain, they found nobody. Kyle had called the team to the helicopter to depart. As he waited, he heard a strange bubbling noise behind him. When the rescue team arrived to the helicopter, nobody had seen Kyle. All they found was another puddle of the unknown black substance and a radio on the ground, that seemingly belonged to Kyle, before mysteriously disappearing.
Kyle was never seen by his team again. Although he wasn't dead. Inside of the pocket dimension, he kneeled before SCP-106, and was lucky to be let free. Kyle woke up deep inside of a thick woodlands. After 12 minutes of disoriented and random exploration, he sees some lights in the distance. When he approaches the lights, multiple armed men approach Kyle, asking him who he is and how he found the compound. After some questioning, they took him in to ask a few more questions then amnesticize him. When they were finished asking, the people questioning Kyle left the room. After around half an hour, they come back and discuss behind a closed door. Kyle can just barely make out a few words. When they re-enter the room, Kyle is questioned where he came from, and what he does. After answering that he is a Search and Rescue member, they leave the room to discuss. The problem is the fact that they had run out of amnestics, and they couldn't let him go because he knows too much, yet they don't want to terminate him without better reason. After multiple hours of discussion, they decided they would admit Kyle into the foundation as they really didn't have much else, and he seems to fit well into the medical staff.
Kyle worked his way up the ranks in the medical staff all the way up to Combat Medic, also gaining a reputation for himself where he'll throw himself in danger to save others. After around 3 months with this reputation, he started going by Kyle "Selfless" Morgan. This codename meant a lot to him, and he was fairly content. Yet, he felt he wanted to do more. Many times Kyle would enter the D-Block and see the General Security unethically terminating Class-Ds. He'd also notice many Foundation Staff violating the Code of Ethics, and he wanted to start doing something about it. A lot of people had noticed that Kyle had seemed a lot more serious than normal. He was in touch with Internal Affairs agents a lot, even making friends with an Internal Affairs Ambassador. 8 days later, he had join the department of Internal Affairs. He was swift, and did his job well, making his way to being an IA Ambassador.
A month and a half later, he was dragged off into a room only accessible by clearance levels he'd never known about before. They talked to him about the position of being an Ethics Committee Assistant. Kyle was given two options. Either take the position, and be able to help enforce the Code of Ethics like he wanted, or be amnesticized, and forget everything he was just told. It was a lot of consideration for him. This is what he wanted, to help enforce the Code of Ethics, but he was unsure if he could take the responsibility. After a few minutes of consideration, he decided he wanted the position, as this is what he wanted to do, and accepted all responsibility.
Kyle decided to go under the new codename "Peacekeeper" as he was commonly able to keep peace between people without them needing to meet. He stuck with this codename for the rest of his time in the foundation.
