What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I am applying for the role of ECM because as my time within Omega-1 whilst reaching the rank of commander I have come to further understand what it means to show leadership and properly run a department/s. As being the Omega-1 Commander I believe that Ethics Committee Member would be the next step for me though for a short period there I applied for Site Admin I rethought my positions and where I foresee myself and wish to move next into Ethics Committee Member.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
There are multiple reasons I am a suitable candidate for Ethics Committee Member. As the current standing Commander of Omega-1 I have worked close along side the Ethics Committee Members as well as multiple Ethics Chairmans, In this time I have learnt from them and worked closely with them to further understand the role of Ethics Member. Within my time in Omega-1 I have learnt ways to Improve RP, as well as try to further push cross-departmental initiates . Whilst also being the Omega-1 Commander I have been working with the O5 council as an OSA completing Orders handed down from them as well as actively RP'd with members of other departments around the site ranging from Research to Medical and D-class to further immerse members around site in Roleplay. Through my time on Overseer Assistant I have seen how O5 Roleplay which will allow me to bring over what I have learnt to the opposing side of Site Command. Though I have not been in a RP lead position for a long time I believe with my further investment into the server and activity I would be the best candidate for the Ethics Committee position.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
Conducting Tribunals for CL4 when necessary.
Issuing Orders to Omega-1 and Assistants.
Collaborating with Department Leaders and Site Administration for effective communication.
Initiating the detonation of the Nuclear Warhead in case of SCP Containment Breaches becoming out of control.
Oversight of the Department of Internal Affairs.
Ensuring the smooth and proper functioning of the site.
Crafting distinctive RP experiences for on-site personnel.
Implementing alterations to the Code of Ethics.
Granting approval for Advanced Armory use during breaches as needed.
Distributing instructions to Omega-1 and Ethics Assistants.
Sanctioning the D class work program in lieu of Assistants and Site Administration.
Evaluating departments and conducting personnel interviews.
Addressing and resolving complaints from personnel.
Authorizing testing in cases requiring Ethics, such as SCP-008 or Termination Attempts.
Approval of Cross tests and other Research Department experiments, etc.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
The Ethics Committee are tasked with a couple of duties outside of roleplay, these include,
Director of Internal Affairs
Discussed amongst other Committee members and application verdict decided by Ethics Committee Vote.
Ethics Committee Assistants
Discussed amongst other Committee members and application verdict decided by Ethics Committee Vote.
Ethics Committee Members
Assists in providing the Chairman feedback on ECM applications.
The committee also assists individuals in the SCP-RP discord if any issues or questions come up amongst other miscellaneous duties.
