Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I'm applying for security captain because I spend most of my time in D-Block, either as a Class-D or as GenSec/Medic. I think the amount of times I've seen cadets behave inappropriately would be in the hundreds by now, and I would like to continue to help strengthen GenSec in a more direct way as a Captain. I also think my active hours and time zone would benefit gensec significantly, as I'm often on when there's a lower population.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I believe I'm suitable due to the amount of time I've spent in D-block as a GenSec SGT/RRT and the amount of experience I have dealing with code 2s and prisoner behaviour violations in general. I think I have a good understanding of how D-block operates and how GenSec should respond to different situations appropriately. I also believe I have the attributes of a successful captain, someone that is respectful, mature, patient and level-headed.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
A security captain oversees most of D-block and works under administration and the Chief of Security. Their duties include directing and training of Cadets, upholding the ethics of the site within their staff, and maintaining order within the prison block itself through proper management of their Officers.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Demeter was not an overachiever or athletically gifted as a child. He was often teased for his name, and many people mispronounced it as 'dementor'. It never bothered him but he gave up on correcting people. He achieved middle grades throughout his school life. Demeter might not have been the most physically or intellectually gifted child, but he was incredibly dilligent and had a natural curiousity. He enjoyed science and while he worked hard at whatever he was tasked with, he never achieved highly. After graduating high school, he took a run of the mill security patrol job, working for a small company in Australia. He disliked his job, and found it boring. He had really thought he would end up in the sort of work he was doing, which had been boring patrol after boring patrol in industrial estates. He didn't really know what he wanted. However one night, when doing patrols, he noticed a garage left unlocked in one of their allocated dock routes. Inside he found strange materials being shipped to a compound with an address listed in the US. Curiosity bested him, and after investigating records in a company computer, he found where the materials were being shipped to. Demeter applied for a job there and was successful. He started as a cadet and worked his way to the rank of SGT. The environment was much more exciting to him and the compound was shrouded in so much mystery. He often wondered what the origin of the some of the sounds were that he would hear every now and then, and if there was a reason he had so many gaps in his memory. Wanting to know more, he applied for a position as a Security Captain with the hope that some of the mystery of the compound would be uncovered.
