Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I'd like to make a difference here in the Gensec. We're in a pivotal moment, going through lots of change (the recent addition of new whitelists, the very recent removal of A-6 and AXO, and a large number of players on at nearly all hours of the day). We will continue to go through change, with the addition of a new sub-division and the eventual new map. I want to be part of this change and do what I can to assist in helping this change go as smoothly as possible. With this, I want to ensure that current/future Gensec are as professional as possible; and arguably more importantly, become a more reliable force for those within the site. Gensec should be keeping the site safe and secure, however, many folks have grown to ignore Gensec with any level of responsibility. It's time for change.

What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I do my absolute best to bleed professionality, responsibility, and reliability. Whenever I play on various whitelists (research, medical, gensec, etc), I know my place. I understand that the site is just one large machine, and Gensec is simply one cog in that machine. Far too many folks try to be multiple cogs - taking on too many jobs at once - but I understand that Gensec instead needs to master their responsibilities, one rotation of the cog at a time. I believe that I am suitable for many reasons, but the genuine understanding of the "bigger picture" is among the greatest.

What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
Within the site, a Captain should be the leader for all Gensec on-shift. Whether that be the rock that keeps D-Block organized and secure, the baton and clipboard that keeps Cadets in line and trained, or even just the ear for those to voice complaints, a Security Captain is there to ensure that all of Gensec is there to enforce the values of the Foundation. A Captain should ensure our Gensec are up-to-date with things like RRT and HWL, as well as policy changes to the site, such as the elimination of A-6. We're there to make sure things are methodical, smooth, and consistent. To make sure the other cogs in this machine - E-11, Nu7, Medical, everyone - are able to do their jobs to enforce the values of the Foundation: Secure, Contain, and Protect.

Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
I believe that Security Captain Duncan will be a stern, yet understanding, Captain. I've been trained by some of the best the Foundation has to offer on the values of professionality and respect. While I can understand if a lower-level Gensec needs additional training - I am happy to provide this to anyone - I generally do not tolerate disrespect towards others. With this, I will be a by-the-book Captain. I'd like to be involved in storylines related to chemicals, advanced firearms, etcetera.
