Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
- I am applying for the role of medical consultant due to my passion for medical, and strive to help others. Though my time on the server is short, my experiences from roleplay to general discussion with other people in medical have been great. I wish to elevate my potential for more fun roleplay and interactions with others. I also love to help others whenever possible, I strive to assist whenever I am needed, from simply healing others, to helping trainees, to assisting with larger scale projects, I simply enjoy to help which this role allows me to do on a larger scale.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
- What makes me suitable for the role of medical consultant is my previously mentioned traits, my past experiences in medical related roleplay, and other qualities. I try to roleplay as best as possible given the situation, and when not engaged in roleplay, I try to have fun with other players on the server. In my past experience on a different server, while less realistic then this, has allowed me to better understand medical terminology, and engage in roleplay similar to what I will and have encountered on this server. I also like working with others when possible, am mostly professional when needed, and overall I care about others and will help whenever possible.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- Psychological Evaluations occur when either mandated by an authorized personnel, or when a patient comes to request one. The reasons for this can vary, from simply the urge to spin in circles randomly, to aggressive behavior caused by psychological reasons. The medical professional (in this case me) would either calmly guide the individual or convince them to take a seat if unwilling. I would then start by asking the basic first questions, their name, how their feeling, and any other pertinent information at the time. Then, I would follow the basic steps, answering the questions listed in the template. If these questions are too uncomfortable for the patient, or unnecessary I would skip or ask more appropriate questions. At the end, I would rap up the evaluation by asking any closing questions, if their mental state changed since the start, or otherwise concluding procedures.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- The responsibilities of a medical consultant in roleplay are like any other member of leadership. Medical consultants work together and with the directors of medicine to lead the medical department as a whole. Consultants work first hand with the non-leadership side of medical, working directly and assisting trainees, doctors, and senior doctors alike. They also take the role as a CL4 representative, whenever a sensitive or classified matter comes needing medical's assistance, consultants take charge and handle the matter. Overall, they help manage the day to day operations of medical, and work closely with other leadership members. Consultants also take the role of teachers, running lessons and ensuring their learning goes smoothly.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Edward Hawthorne lived outside downtown in NJ, USA. After encountering life saving medical treatment first hand due to a collision while in the passenger seat of a car, Edward wanted to follow in their footsteps, giving care to those who needed it. So, after going through the rigorous process of medical school, Edward became a doctor. But on one fateful day, an unknown group of individuals entered his workplace, uniforms carrying unfamiliar symbols, but Edward focused on the patient, rapidly taking charge of the situation, Edward quickly rendered the patient stable. The left as quickly as they appeared. Later, a month later he was offered a job at his doorstep. The foundation hired him as a doctor, rising from a trainee to Sr. Doctor, where he quickly got himself involved in large scale projects, researching undocumented chemicals and substances alike. Due to his outstanding work, he became a medical consultant. With his new found role, he quickly attempted to gain reputation, working with the other consultants and doctors alike. After finishing the large scale project, he simply worked to be the best consultant possible, after all, Edward simply loved to help others.
