Why are you applying for Security Captain?
I am applying for Security Captain to improve Gensec organization, knowledge, and security in D-block. Organization is something that I see Gensec always struggle with whether it is their fault or not. D-block is a very chaotic and unorganized place from what I have witnessed with researchers asking for D-class, Medical trainees running around to get credits, and the D-class themselves causing chaos. If left unattended this can lead to many problems in the functionality of D-block and could lead to accidents. I want to tighten the organization, make sure that people are at their posts and understand what they are doing. This is one of the leading causes of an unorganized D-block with cadets, officers, and sometimes Sergeants running around aimlessly without any goals. Another reason for an unorganized D-block and many issues within Gensec is lack of understanding and knowledge of the duties of Gensec Officers. I understand that many cadets, and sometimes officers, don't understand the rules when it comes down to ethics or something so simple as taking a D-class out of line and handing them over to a researcher. One of my main goals of being a Security Captain will focus on education. I want to be sure that all Gensec in D-block know what they are doing. If they don't know what they are doing, then we should educate them instead of berating them. If everyone in D-block understands what they are doing then, D-block would be much less chaotic and there would be less accidents. Lastly one of my biggest concerns as a Security Captain would be the actual Security in D-block. This is a tricky subject as many things could lead to a decrease in security. One of the biggest things is posts. Making sure that the posts are stationed and people are where they need to be is very important. I have seen countless times cadets and officers both escorting researchers while posts are not properly manned. This leaves less people in D-block and allows D-class to escape and harm facility personnel. I believe the main reason for the lack of people at posts is the lack of motivation. Most cadets would rather be escorting and getting credited than sitting inside airlock. This is why active Captains are important in making sure that everyone gets credited for manning these posts and giving motivation towards the officers.

What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
I am suitable for Security Captain because of my experience as a Riot Sergeant and as a normal Sergeant. I have been inside D-block for most of my hours and know how everything works and how it is supposed to be done. As a Sergeant I have lead a couple of sweeps under supervision and have coordinated multiple Riot responses inside D-block. I have clear set goals and expectation for Gensec and what I want to accomplish. I am an active member of Gensec and understand my duties and roles as both a Sergeant and through my cooperation with current Captains I have a good understanding of the duties of a Captain. While I don't have any prior experience with CL4, I have experience in the other sectors and know how to lead. I understand the rules when it comes to Ethics and policies within Gensec.

What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
The responsibilities of a Security Captain include, but are not limited to:

-Initiating sweeps: Captains are to ensure the safety of facility personnel and if the D-class get access to weapons, or keycards that can disrupt this
safety. If the D-class start to riot and are a serious and continuous thread the Captains and initiate a sweep to confiscate all weapons and keycards from the D-class. This is not meant to just kill them, just take away dangerous items. It is usually initiated if 5+ D-class have weapons and they have level 3 Keycards/hacking the doors.
-Making sure Posts are manned: Making sure posts are manned by doing rounds and crediting officers for good work is also one of the roles of Security Captains. This allows all the posts to be manned and rewards officers for good work and staying at their posts instead of leaving to escort.
-
Assisting Dpt. Chiefs: If a Department Chief is on base from my understanding Captain's job is to manage D-block and make sure that the Dpt. Chief's orders are upheld and everyone is organized.
-
Instructing and teaching other officers: Captains are a supervisor role and should be educating other officers and answering questions when needed. From my experience even Sergeants don't know all of the rules and what to do so a Captain must step in to teach the officers.
-Being a role model for other Gensec: Captains are the people that Officer's and Sergeants look up to when they see one online. Therefore it is their duty to make sure that they are upholding a professional demeanor and being a role model for everyone else to follow. A bad captain leads to bad officers.
-Hosting tryouts for RRT and HWL: Captains are responsible for training and teaching members of Gensec and helping them pass RRT and HWL. They are responsible for hosting and administering the test and making sure that the people who get the licenses are qualified.
-
Making sure RRT is on task: Captains should help RRT Sergeants organize RRT and make sure that they are doing their duties properly. They should make sure that they are getting rewarded for their patrols and answering any questions that they have about their responsibilities.

These are the main responsibilities for a Security Captain, but since things in D-block are dynamic Captains must be able to adapt and change their roles according to the situation. It is important for Security captains to maintain flexibility in their tasks to make sure D-block is functioning properly.

Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Early life: Tommy McFly was born into a poor traditional family in Statin island, New York. His father worked long hours in the NYPD to support their growing family while his mother stayed home to take care of the children. His father died when Tommy was 6 in the NYPD while responding to a domestic abuse case, he was shot 2 times in the arm and was fatally shot in the head. Due to these circumstances Tommy's mother had to go to start working and right after Tommy graduated from High School he joined the Military to support his mother.

Military Career: Tommy was sent on multiple deployments during his time in the military earning him various achievements. While not on deployment he was able to pass and complete schools such as Ranger school and Airborne. After completing these schools he was sent to the 75th Ranger Regiment where he would spend the rest of his Military career. Towards the end of Tommy's career he would try to enter the 75th Ranger Regiment: Regimental Reconnaissance Company. Although denied for the position in the RRC, through this tryout he caught the eyes of the SCP foundation and would be invited. To be able to supply his working mother with more money so she could live comfortably he accepted the offer.

Security Captain on Site 65: As a Security Captain Tommy is known as a by the books captain and takes his job very seriously. During his time as a Security Captain he comes to understand and know about the different types of SCPs being kept down here. After knowing what is being kept down inside site 65 Tommy is more determined than ever to protect the facility at all costs to protect the lives of his family above if he fails. He does agree that researching the SCPs could lead to amazing things for humanity, but also wonders what horrors it could bring if they got out.

Storyline:
A couple weeks after Tommy is invited to be a Security Captain for site 65 he notices that the D-class are supplying themselves with heavy weapons and have access to high level key cards. He notices that the airlock towards D-block is being hacked and calls a Code - 2 riot. He organizes a team to walk on the catwalk and take care of the person who is hacking the doorway. The D-class is successfully taken down without any collateral damage.

As he watches from the watchtower to get an understanding of the situation, he sees droves of D-class entering the showers and exiting with heavy weapons that could not have possibly been smuggled through normal means. He suspects that there may be someone inside the vents or showers supplying the D-class guns.

Due to having not enough evidence yet, he calls an undercover agent to enter D-block and see what is going on. The agent escapes and has intel that there is a CI agent disguised as a D-class supplying guns to them.

Tommy proceeds to organize a sweep of D-block to capture the CI and confiscate all weapons. Tommy pushes in D-block with the support of the rest of Gensec and starts rounding up the D-class.

The D-class make a last stand in the bathrooms trying to protect the CI, but Tommy gets RRT to push in with riot shields first and is able to take out all of the hostiles. The CI is inside the vents hiding and the vent team is able to flush him out and successfully capture him. Tommy finishes the sweep and hands the CI over to MTF to be taken care of.
