For how long have you played on CG SCP: VTime 3 Weeks and 3 Days
Age: 20
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): Dalton Bruno "The Enforcer"
Civilian name: Zach Galston
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA
Do you have a mic?:
- Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- IA Director/Ambassador and Ethics Committee Assistant
Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?:
- I have received one warning, it was a month ago and I called a code 5 after getting killed by an SCP, that's it.
What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
- I'm currently applying for the Ethics Committee member position. I'm applying for this position because I believe I can bring a fresh perspective to the Committee based on my experience in Internal Affairs, GENSEC, and as an Ethics Assistant! I have seen Ethical Issues in many departments that I know I can help change for the better for all foundation staff and the D-Class personnel. My greatest interests are within the medical department, Internal Affairs, and the department of research, these departments would be areas where I can provide the best input.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
- I have proven through my senior position in Internal Affairs that I can lead, and provide knowledge to all departments on what they are doing wrong based on the Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and department-related policies. I have shown many times that I'm responsible for a LVL 4 position and I'm the person to come to when you have a serious question! I'm very resourceful and ethical when performing my duties as both an Ethics Committee assistant and as a Department Director. I have written several documents informing the departments about what ethical codes they have to abide by, the document is over 17 pages and has been used by MTF E-11/Nu-7, DoR, Medical, GENSEC, and Intel. I also have a vast understanding of the Code of Ethics and its rules because of my time as the Department director and as an assistant. Another reason for me being a good candidate is because of my activity, I spend a lot of time on this game with most of it being an Internal director, I also notice that the times I'm on there tend not to be an Ethics member on so I there would be a lot more time with a member on for tests to be approved and for on-site situations to be dealt with!
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
- The Ethics Committee has many responsibilities within the foundation, I will list them all and go into detail as much as I can. One responsibility of an Ethics Member is to approve tests that the Department of Research brings to you, the typical test that would need approval is a live sample going into SCP-914, and SCP-682 test with more than 3 D-Class, and any test that would involve a high rate for casualties, you must weigh the pros and cons of these test, and ask yourself "will potential loss of life be worth the information obtained?", it's also important to inspect these tests to ensure that the Ethical Codes are being followed. Another responsibility would be to ensure foundation staff and D-Class personnel are following the Code of Ethics and other Ethical orders that the Committee has made orders upon and to ensure that those who break those orders are to be held accountable. Another responsibility is to meet with the department heads and other Ethics Members to inform the departments of any changes made to our Codes/Policies, we must review departments with our assistants to ensure procedures are always Ethical and if you receive reports that there is an Ethical issue that hasn't been resolved with regulation, it would be time to make a proposal and bring it to the table to fix the issue. In my opinion, one of the highest responsibilities (Minus upholding the CoE) is to ensure the safety of all foundation staff during an out-of-control SCP breach, when MTF can't ensure the containment of the SCP'S breached there must be a code black called to ensure all foundation staff makes it out alive before trapping the SCP'S within the facility.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
- The Ethics Committee handles applications for the Director of IA, the Director of Medicine, and Ethics Committee Assistants. With these appointments, they are also to ensure that the department leaders are acting professional, and ethical, and are performing their duties that are required for that position!
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Part One "The Entrance" -
Dalton Bruno was in the Adirondacks (A large mountain/forest range in Upstate New York), and while on an expedition in the local forest he located an SCP, SCP-4441-1. The SCP was to be contained fast due to possible mental effects, this caused a large portion of the containment force to be subdued. Dalton managed to capture the SCP with a trap he constructed in the SCP's habitat which impressed MTF E-11 and this event marked the beginning of Dalton's work within the foundation. As a worker in the foundation, Dalton has seen many unethical acts that have been done upon class d's and other foundation members that needed to be dealt with, Dalton vowed justice upon those who didn't follow ethical procedures and will bring down corruption.
Part Two "Making Change" -
Dalton Bruno took upon the name "The Enforcer" as a way to symbolize the changes he has made to the Department of Internal Affairs and to show his determination for finding the criminals in the facility that have done Ethics violations. After "The Enforcer" took office as the Department Director he had many added responsibilities such as keeping his staff in line, reporting to ███ ██ ███████, the Ethics Committee, and working with all department heads to work on department policy and ensuring that the departments were educated upon those matters. The Ethics violations that GENSEC and the Department Of Research have been committing have not been going unseen and the violators have been served for their crimes, and measures have been put in place to prevent those situations from happening again. "The Enforcer" wishes to have a greater say in what happens on our great site and he plans on making that change in the Ethics Committee.
