Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
- I'm applying to be an Executive Researcher for the primary reason of wanting to help all the researchers around me to a higher capacity. While I can still do such as a Sr. Researcher so many more avenues open up to you as an executive. The first is that the researchers will come to you more often by proxy allowing you to directly help them. The most immediate example that comes to mind would be if a researcher asked me to sign off on a document. Them coming to me in such a way would allow me to give constructive criticism on the document so they can even further improve their capabilities as a researcher. The other, arguably much more selfish reason, is that I would like to expand upon what I'm able to say within my documents. Far too often I am having to remove items from my document due to the sensitivity of the material as it cannot be known to me currently thus its removal from my memory. Such an action is a little bit frustrating as a researcher, yet, is also quite understandable, however, the main reason for me applying to be an Executive Researcher is to help those below me.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
- I would make a suitable Executive Researcher as I know the ins and the outs of the job quite well now. Over the past month or so I've been working hard on really digging in and getting back into the current research department as it's what I've always loved. I've shown such by having multiple documents of extremely high quality that even still I am looking to improve. One can never stop trying to improve as doing so is just hurting yourself. I also try to bring a fun attitude towards research seeing no idea as insane as long as it has a good backbone, some requiring a bigger backbone than others... While I do strive to be as fun as possible I also am mature knowing when to draw the line. I've been learning through trial and error over the past months what's currently acceptable to the standards of the research department and what is acceptable. Generally, as long as it's not harming someone else, outright theft, info breaching, or overdoing something causing you to be a general nuisance you're given a lot of liberties.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
- I've written a decent handful of them, can't give an exact number since I'm not quite sure. For a document to be graded or even considered as excellent it has to meet some arguably basic criteria. This take may seem to be a tad bit controversial but it really is quite easy for a document to be excellent. The main thing you need for it to be excellent is to simply have all the requisite information, that's what we require for an "excellent" document. Now this isn't to bash the standards. It's, in fact, a very good thing to have it this way as it allows the researcher to let their creativity flow. Being so loose on the basics makes it easier to build upon and a lot more fun to get into. If we had very nitpicky details that other departments have in their documents it would choke the creativity of researchers and overall make the documents simply uninteresting.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
- The responsibilities of an Executive Research in RP above absolutely everything else is to help those below you. You are an Executive to be a shining light in the darkness for the other researchers to look towards, not holding power over others and being a piece of shit. Doing so builds resentment towards not only you but also the department as a whole as seen with other departments within the Foundation. We as a whole have to stand together and help one another so we can have a good time and test upon our Foundations' vast array of SCPs. This leads to the next major responsibility as an Executive, you need to be mature and know the difference between maturity vs. having a stick up one's ass so to speak. Being mature is crucial as you do hold quite a bit of responsibility with the Level-4 Access you are granted by being an Executive. If a researcher sees you going off and doing dumb shit such as breaking into chemical lockers or going into SCPs CC's without a proper reason they will soak that up and then repeat that same behavior. Be someone that's fun to be around and that other people like while also being a good example to those same people, know how to walk the line. To give a more concise list of responsibilities here is a list of what I currently believe the responsibilities are/should be; Assisting fellow researchers, Signing off on documents, Spectating tests to see where things can be improved, dealing out disciplinary action if needed, and overall being a role model. While that list certainly included quite a bit there is a vast amount more that goes into being an amazing Executive Researcher.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Ivy Picket started her time at the Foundation, like many, a long long time ago. She came in all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed excited to see what awaited her behind the oh-so-mysterious yet alluring curtain of the Foundation. She soon found out that what's hidden isn't always meant to be revealed, however, it was too late to put what had been let out back in. She slowly grew more and more desensitized to the gruesome nature of the SCPs that surrounded her working very closely with some of the Foundations' most dangerous entities. As time went on she also gained much more knowledge about the Foundation and how it works. With this knowledge procured over years of experience, she soon became an outstanding member of her current Site. She now spends her days tirelessly working for the Foundation so that what has been revealed to her isn't revealed to the public for their own sake.
