For how long have you played on CG SCP: About 100 hours
Age: 26
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): Jim Fluggins
Civilian name: Jim Flumpkins
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
- yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- None at the moment ( never seem to be on during a training session)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- I do not believe so but if I have it would be a warning at max. The reason would probably be a dispute with another player
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
- I believe that being able to have the ability to commence higher level research would be fun. I also enjoy helping other researchers with questions and ideas for fun experiments. I am also excited to see other researcher's reports not only because they would be interesting but it may also give me ideas for my own future tests.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
- I do my research experiments within the lines of what is ethical and I am interested in seeing if new experiments do work instead of simply throwing D-class at 173 to watch them die. I like giving junior researchers advice and help when they ask as well as writing reports and reading my friend's reports is enjoyable for me. I also do my best to explain the experiment in front of the SCP so they are not in the dark about what is happening and they can properly role play. I also try to go to SCPs that are not visited too often so they have a chance to play. Finally, I do like taking with my fellow scientists about their research experiments and to be honest I think I would like to reject some of the experiments I have been seeing lately. For example I saw one researcher tell a d-class to "just talk to" 7722 with no further instructions. There was no real point to it.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
- I have gotten 3 excellent ratings. An excellent document needs to be formatted in not only an understandable way but also an interesting way. There should be an index. There should be an explanation of why the test is being run, how it is being run, and what was needed for the test to be possible. A clear hypothesis of what the researcher hopes to gain from the test needs to be stated. A precise recount of what happened during the test/tests as well as a sound conclusion of what the results mean. An excellent document will also propose possible future test that may be run based off of the one in the report. Finally pictures are a bonus.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
- There are many responsibilities of an executive researcher. The first is to know all the ethical restrictions on testing including cross tests. The second is reading research papers and giving them appropriate scores. Another is helping other researchers with question or ideas. Executive researchers must role play as an authority figure but must not get a power trip over it. They must also communicate with other departments when needed, so a degree of knowledge of other departments is needed.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in: Jim Fluggins has worked his way up through site 65 through countless experiments that have been beneficial for the foundation. The pure curiosity of this strange world has driven him to tirelessly dedicate his life to figuring out the unknown. Unfortunately while he has been able to solve some mysteries in regards to the SCPs, the one he cannot solve have taken a toll. Jim tends to drink when discouraged and he can lose track of how much he has drunk.. He never lets the liquor affect his professional life, at least he never intends it to. After researching for so many years Jim has become jaded in some aspects.
