Why are you applying for the Chief of Security?
For the longest time I have followed, reflected, and analyzed the actions and duties of the security chief. I have watched and attempted to feed off of the knowledge and expertise of Nexus and Onion. At this point I do believe I have had ample time to hone my skills and prepare myself for what lies ahead. In all honesty I want to see General Security grow and develop into the best version GenSec can be. Becoming the CoS is a privilege not a right, and by gaining this privilege I can better shape the GenSec of tomorrow. by providing outstanding leadership, good communication, and a happy as well as safe environment for all who wish to fall in the ranks. As anybody can become GenSec and anyone can be a leader!
What makes you suitable for Chief of Security?:
I am just as qualified as my fellow captains possibly even more. I have seen the work put in by many and reflected what they have done. Personally, I hold many qualities that set me aside from the rest. Determination, dedication, persistence, activity, leadership, and last but certainly not least communication. These traits all add up to what makes a good strong, disciplined leader. As I believe I have a good image to follow and I will continue to act in the best interest of this department and its benefit for the future. Not to mention my efforts in seeing the department grow and develop. Numerous times I have gone out of my way to assist fellow captains, sergeants, or even every day GenSec with issues ranging small to large. That it be document work, or even general assistance with a sweep or tryout. I have been there for my brothers and plan on continuing this journey alongside them! As a cool tempered, well mannered, and respectable leader. That has a consistent presence and good image to the personnel around them.
What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Security in RP?:
As the CoS the responsibilities vary from in-character and out of character. Focusing on the IC aspects, a Chief should be providing strong communication to their captains and provide leadership to said captains on how things will run and progress. Expressing and explaining a plan to your fellow captains on how to lead is crucial as this will be a key component of molding the future leaders of GenSec. Watching over the general aspects and well being of GenSec which includes having an active presence within the site is extremely important as it allows for the Chief to have in person interactions with the department as a whole. Being able to develop documents and update them as time progress will be crucial as time changes. This will allow for consistencies and information to stay updated so people will be receiving proper instructions on how to address and attack day to day issues within GenSec. Lastly, being in there and relaying information from site-administration to your personnel as they will directly oversee your actions. Moving towards the OOC side, being active in the discord, hosting weakling meetings, address inconsistencies in personnel activities and actions. As well as being able to provide and strong and well thought out understanding of how to be a leader and help improve GenSec. Pushing GenSec to be the best they can be is the main objective for any CoS as that is all one would want to see, this does include being out-going and working with other departments such as MTF and IA.
Please give some lore about your Chief of Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Garry Goodfella, known only by his codename "Havoc," was born into a rough and impoverished neighborhood in Moscow, Russia. From a young age, he was forced to learn how to defend himself and his family from the dangerous gangs that controlled the area. He quickly became skilled in hand-to-hand combat and the use of weapons, using whatever resources he could find to train himself. As he grew older, Garry's talents caught the attention of the local military recruiters. Seeing an opportunity to escape his difficult life, he jumped at the chance to join the Russian military. He quickly proved himself to be a natural leader and a skilled tactical specialist, rising through the ranks to become a top-ranked heavy weapons expert.
During his time in the military, Garry was exposed to a variety of advanced technologies and weapons systems, and he quickly became one of the most proficient users of these systems in the entire Russian military. He was known for his ability to quickly adapt to new situations and his ability to think on his feet, making him a valuable asset in the field.
After several years of service, Garry was approached by the SCP Foundation, a secretive organization that dealt with anomalous entities and phenomena. They were impressed by his skills and knowledge, and they offered him a position within the organization's general security program. Garry accepted the offer, and was quickly inducted into the SCP Foundation's training program. He quickly adapted to the new environment, and soon became one of the top-ranked members of the general security program. He was known for his ability to handle difficult situations with ease, and his ability to think outside the box when it came to dealing with anomalous entities.
Despite his success, Garry never forgot his humble beginnings. He always remembered the struggles of his childhood, and used that knowledge to help those who were less fortunate. He became a mentor to many of the younger members of the SCP Foundation, teaching them the skills he had learned over the years. In the end, Garry Goodfella's life was one of service and sacrifice. He gave everything he had to protect the people of Russia and the world from the dangers of anomalous entities, and will always be remembered as a true hero.
