What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
The primary reason I am the best candidate for the position of Ethics Committee Assistant is because of my past experience, and my performance in such past experiences. To begin I'll discuss what I've previously done. Previously (around 2 1/2 months ago), I was acting Director of Research for several months, in that time I learned many skills that are absolutely necessary to the success of an individual in such a position including Ethics Committee Assistant. The specifics of such will be touched on a little later, as for now, I will be going over my performance in the positions I have held. As Director of Research, I was the brainchild and helper in numerous projects such as founding the Chemical Research Board alongside Tyrone Tiggle and bringing fresh life into it when required. Taking the department from near death via inactivity to experiment with it for better or for worse so that I could leave it in the best state I could for my future predecessors. You cannot simply exist in a role but must make it your own, to use the power you are granted for the better. As I like to always say with any CL-4 position Senior or other wise "It's what you make of it". You could sit on the sidelines and exist as a plague to the server's continuation or you can take it and make good of it, as I hopefully did. I, additionally, worked as an Overseer Assistant in the past during some very trying times in the Council to try to learn more about them and their functions while also gaining a new perspective to further my ability to help the Site's overall well-being. Next, I'll be speaking on some of the skills/attributes I have procured over my time on this server or otherwise have from other experiences. The first of which is my ability to manage relations with departments and people. It's of the utmost importance to be able to work with everyone and anyone no matter whether you like them or not, that I can do, and do it fairly well. You must look at things from an objective lens to best help your department or in the case of an Ethics Committee Assistant, the Site, namely the Ethicality of it. A main point of interest I can give as a specific example is the relationship between Epslion-11 and the Research Department. Their relations were extremely strained due to conflicts with different papers so I stepped in and spoke with the heads and members of the Jr. Command team to make strides in fixing said relations. Some things worked, and some didn't, however, I was able to try and try well. It's all about learning and improving upon yourself, especially when it comes to working with other people. Going off of that is another attribute I possess, the ability to learn from past discretions. I am not perfect, it would be stupid to think so. I very often do make mistakes and unlike a lot of people, I own up to them. You can't begin to improve upon yourself if you can't accept that you've made mistakes. An example was during my time as Director of Research. I made a pretty controversial policy change with mandatory lectures thinking it would be best to drop the hammer of IA on those who did not attend and to have them in the first place. After discussion with former and current members of Research Command and everyday researchers I realized that it was not what was best for the department, so what did I do? I didn't huff my chest and say "Go kick rocks, I'm always right". No, I realized it was a poor choice, owned up to it, and decided to abolish the policy altogether which worked much better in favor of the department and its runnings. To conclude, I will be explaining why it is I truly want this position. The honest answer is I want to get back into the swing of things, I miss being able to help the server, especially now that summer is fast approaching and I have the time. I hope to re-learn what has been lost with time and to reach higher than I had before, for the greater good of the Site.

What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
The responsibilities of an Ethics Committee Assistant in RP can be broken down into two tertiary categories. The first is the more administrative side of things, and the second is the more "RP RP" side of things wherein you act as a leader in RP scenarios. First I will be discussing the more administrative side of the role as this is where a lot of the duties of an Ethics Committee Assistant lie. They can be thought of as the hand of the Committee working and reaching down through them to carry out their will as seen fit by them. They are the lifeblood of the Committee, Ethics Members can't be everywhere at once, can they? As such a main duty they are beholden to carry out is the review of different departments, similar to what an Overseer's Assistant would do but to a more fine degree. They are to determine where the flaws are within the department through primary and secondary review, by being on the ground as an acting member of the department, and through interviews with its true members. It takes looking and things from multiple angles many different times to paint a full picture of a department. After such is conducted they are required to share these findings in a concise and easy-to-understand way to their superiors so that they may proceed with any action necessary to solve the flaws found by them. Besides that they are at the whim of the Ethics Committee as to what is required of them as it is in their name, they are assistants. Going to more of the "RP RP" side of things in which they are there to really observe and step in when necessary. This ties back to them being the eyes and ears of the Committee. A key example of such is that they could be sent as an envoy to a GoI representing the Ethics Committee and their interests which is why they need such in-depth knowledge of the Foundation otherwise they are likely to damage relations or at worst start a war, no one likes war, it's bad for business. To wrap everything in a neat and concise bow, they are the body of the Ethics, the brain is the Committee giving them a guiding hand so they can walk their own path eventually.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Ivy Picket started her time at the Foundation, like many, a long long time ago. She came in all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed excited to see what awaited her behind the oh-so-mysterious yet alluring curtain of the Foundation. She soon found out that what's hidden isn't always meant to be revealed, however, it was too late to put what had been let out back in. She slowly grew more and more desensitized to the gruesome nature of the SCPs that surrounded her working very closely with some of the Foundations' most dangerous entities. As time went on she also gained much more knowledge about the Foundation and how it works. With this knowledge procured over years of experience, she soon became an outstanding member of her current Site. She now spends her days tirelessly working for the Foundation so that what has been revealed to her isn't revealed to the public for their own sake. She later is contacted by the current Director of Research and is quite excited and a little nervous to hear what he has to say. She thinks to herself all sorts of things he might say from offering her a seat on a project to punishing her for something she didn't know she did wrong, however, what he said next she could never have predicted in a million years. She was given a promotion from Sr. Researcher to Executive Researcher. She knew that she had been a Sr. for quite some time and worked on many projects but never would've imagined herself making it all the way up to the level of an Executive. As time passed this excitement simmered down and she settled into her position as an Executive getting tied up in numerous projects and plans over the years. At this point, she had seen all that the Foundation had to offer, well, that the Foundation showed her. Recently one of the Directors of Research had an untimely death while working on a project of an unknown nature. She saw this as a chance to elevate her skills and the department. You see she had enjoyed being an Executive but she could only do so much and wanted to do more. After a while of waiting and hoping she received a knock on her office door which is not an uncommon thing for her as she is a go-to when it comes to help, however, this time it was different. Instead of a new researcher or fellow Executive walking through the door, it was the Site-Director. She had heard of the Director before but never really got the chance to meet her and as such was quite excited. They sat down and talked for hours, question after question until the Director said the two words that would catapult her career in the Foundation "You're Accepted". Just like that, she was the new Director of Research. She certainly had her work cut out for her and was eager to get started immediately. What she could do was now only limited by her imagination, what would she do next? Well, we know what she would do next and not too soon after her recent promotion to the esteemed position of Director of Researcher. Upon settling into her job after a month she found that she wanted to do more to help the site as a whole. So she sat and pondered the question for a while before remembering something that one of her superiors had told her about. Overseer Assistant, she could join their ranks to get that experience she was missing, however, the Overseers are not easy people to reach despite her ongoing project with O5-1 into the depths of Andersons Factory. Despite such being the case she presented her case to the council and they accepted her as their new assistant to carry out their duties as they please. Following working closely with the Council over the course of many years and furthering her research into the Factory she got a little too close to the sun and it all came crashing down. When in a meeting with O5-1 she could sense something was off but wasn't sure what. After they began talking per usual she heard a loud bang and then a thump, O5-1 was dead, assassinated by an Alpha-1 Operative who had been Class-F'd into doing it by a Sarkis cult member. After that, she felt lost and scared, if they could so easily reach someone so high up what guaranteed her safety, what if they got to her? She couldn't let that happen so she decided to have a parlay of sorts with the head priest who had just a month before given her eyes of the dammed with a mere look. If she messed up this meeting it was certain doom for not only herself but likely everyone at the site. So when writing some normal reports she notices this dark shadow in the corner of the room, a shadow that shouldn't have been there. After a moment of tense silence feeling cold sweat start dripping from every orifice of her body she moved towards the shadow then with a single silent move and a rush of cold air there it was, the head priest, of the Sarkis. They said one thing to her before disappearing "We are here, we will always be here, we will leave you as you leave us". She knew that she had to leave it for now and listen, she needed more protection and more access to safely continue her research. Another couple of years go by and she learns of the passing of an Ethics Committee member so she thinks for a while and makes a decision. She is going to join the Ethics Committee. To do so won't be easy but with decades of experie- she hears a knock on her door, just as she is thinking about how to join the door flies open, and walks in multiple guards with the unmistakable Omega-1 patch on their sides. They grab her and bring her to a dark room where she hears the voice of an old man boom out at her "So you want to join Foundation Command?". Her thoughts began to race because she had never told this to anyone, not a soul in the world knew about what she had planned but she stood strong and replied "Yes, yes I do" and before she could go on to explain why she did she sees a card get slapped down on the table, a CL-5 card. The man says that they have been watching very closely, closer than she could ever imagine, and that they want her to be the next Ethics Committee member.
Before handing the card over the man says "What will you do now Ms. Picket? The Foundation is the farm and you its farmer, till the land and sew the seeds or it will die, this is your responsibility now". With that she passes out and wakes up in a strange place she has never seen before, ready to begin her new life as a member of the Ethics Committee.
But then she sees a figure in front of her. Before she has time to say anything she hears a garbled voice say "It seems there was a clerical mistake, you were, in fact, not our choice for the committee, we cannot let you live with the even minute knowledge you may have gained. I'm sorry, but, your services are no longer required." *Bang* Like that she was dead on the floor, gone, forever, never to be seen again. Yet something was off, 2 months later she seemed to have found herself in an interview room. Cold, dark, clammy, with a bright light shining upon her face. She asks the person "Wh- wha what is this? I thought I was dead" to which the person responds "Yes, yes you were, you are no longer 'Ivy Picket' who you once were. You are something different now, who or what that is we will yet see. We found you alive, somehow, wandering the forsaken place where we dumped your corpse." She begins to speak but nothing comes out, she can't remember anything that had happened at the Foundation, and all of the knowledge she had obtained is wiped away like some sort of fog falling over her. All she has is the feeling of experiences without any of the context as though the skills had been taken from one person and injected into her. As she begins to wander further into the depths of her mind she is jolted awake by the sound of a card on the table, for some reason that felt familiar to her. She sees it reads "Level-4, Ivy Picket, Ethics Committee Assistant". The mysterious figure then speaks "Well, Ms. Picket, will you join us? Join the committee as one of my hands to carry out our bidding". She is hesitant but then as if someone is controlling her, she agrees... She has a lot to learn, and a lot to regain, will she be a positive to the Foundation or will she end up dead, forgotten slowly to the sands of time?
