Civilian name: Kelly Vespache
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA
Do you have a mic?: Yes

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
  • Executive Researcher
  • Epsilon-11 Operative(SPC rank)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?: None received.

Why are you applying for Director of Research?
I want to help steer the RSD ship, so to speak, and to continue opening up fun roleplay avenues not just for myself, but my fellow members of RSD. The director holds the key to a lot of great RP, and I want to help open that door. Additionally, as a lot of veteran members of the department are finding their way out, I want to help the future leaders of RSD grow, expand, and have fun with us!
What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
  • I’ve got a lot of leadership experience from IRL that can translate into in-game scenarios.
  • I push the veil in certain aspects of current RSD roleplay.
  • I can get along with most folks pretty easily.
  • I have a lot of out-of-the-box roleplay ongoing 90% of the time.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
The Director of Research is responsible for overseeing the Research department in terms of document accuracy, link validity, and project creation & direction. Beyond the clerical duties they participate in, the Director is responsible for ensuring the health and efficacy of the Executive team they work alongside of, create roleplay at a higher level and approve of roleplay & testing that would be more dangerous or require more stringent protocol, and to help convey requests or information to Site Administration/Site Inspection and from members of Site Administration and Foundation Command.
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in: Janice Fremont began her time in the Foundation as a D-Class, being taken from Death Row. After some time spent acclimating to life at Site-65, Janice would be selected for a test that would begin her career in Science. What started as a simple test prompted her to ask a question that would spark an in-depth testing series on SCP-087 to discern its full nature. During this time she would sign on to the 30-Day work program to earn her way out of D-Class, leading to her employment in the Research Department. As Director, Janice would be involved in story lines involving her accident as a Cartographer, the Antimemetics Division, the termination of a notably hard to kill entity, the death of a lost Overseer, and reducing Breach Threat/Danger of some of the more intensive SCP’s contained within Site-65. Additionally, due to her time spent in and expertise with the Anomalous Cartography Division, she would be involved in bolstering, guiding, and assisting with matters of the ACD, Dimensional Anomalies as a whole, and our Sister Site establishing their own ACD to stabilize the Anomalous Dimensional research elements. Following an accident with a new dimensional rift, she found herself manifesting anomalous powers. With a purple hand, and markings all over her left side now, she can pull back the curtain on reality and allow people into the in-between space of the Da’at, open a bridge to this new dimension, and manifest things that those she meets desire deepest in their hearts from her left pocket. She may have also drawn the ire of a being that lurks beyond what the human mind can comprehend, something kept at bay only by ignorance of their existence…perhaps we should talk about fifty-five?

I met Janice when she was just a D-Class. Amazing ideas and a great mind for cartography. Cartography and dimensional stuff were never my strong suit, but Janice made up for those weaknesses by assisting me and RSD. She is an excellent choice for DoR! Her strong pursuit of knowledge and her willingness to help juniors make her a great choice!
