Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: I have not received any kicks, bans, or warnings in my time on the server.
Why are you applying for Director of Research? I believe this server needs a good research department to thrive, and I want to do everything in my power to help that happen. I have been an executive researcher now for almost a month I believe, and I have been able to make a difference in that short amount of time. Since becoming executive I have been able to be a voice that the research department has needed, yes there are great bones in the department, but it needed more. There was and still is a need for someone to be there for people to answer questions anyone has, to give people advice, and to teach now researchers but I believe since being an executive I have been able to take a large piece of that need away. I have been able to help and support researchers as they go through the ranks and see them suceed, and with the deputy director position I feel I could keep helping more people.
What makes you suitable for Director of Research?: What makes me suitable to be the deputy director is the passion for helping people and the knowledge I have on the department. I admit I don't know everything, but I have taken in so much knowledge since joining this server and I have perfected it to the point I am able to help people with their own journey along the way. I'm not one of those people that are just power hungry I have a true passion for helping people and a want to be the voice the little people desperately need. I believe being in this position helps make my reach of helping people and the department even stronger. I also have a love for writing documents and really leaning into the experiments to make the documentation excellent. I really do appreciate every opportunity I have gotten so far, and I look forward to being able to give people in the position I was in opportunities to help them too.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?: When in the deputy director role, I will be in charge of making sure the executives are properly doing their jobs, and the new code of ethics is enforced by everyone in the department. Some others are teaching researchers of any level new or help with existing knowledge they need to strive in the research department, overseeing any tests needing upper-level approval as well as watching over any and all experiments needed from upper-level researchers. I will be continuing to do my duties of an executive researcher like grading papers, writing and hosting informational lectures, answering any questions researchers may have, teaching researchers how to test and make excellent documents, enforcing the strict rules we have in the department as non-combative personnel. I know I still have much to learn to be the deputy director, but I am ready to learn everything I can to succeed in this position.
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in: Since becoming of age to finally be a researcher myself I have been keeping very busy doing tests on SCPs that I feel have a heart inside and just need love. I have worked my way up in the department now with my love of research and find myself wanting to help the place that helped me survive on my own. Yes, most of my teachers and the man that took me in when I was a kid are no longer here but every day, I strive to live up to what their legacy was. I remember watching researchers make documents on the tests they had performed that day with sparkles in my eyes seeing just how much thought and love they put into their work. It really drove me to want not just to help SCPs but to be the best scientist I could! my mentor and the man that took me in that day saved my life, James was his name, and he will forever be the reason I want to help young researchers that are lost. Not only in the research community but in life, I truly believe to be good at something you have to be good on the inside, that was something I learned from James's many pep talks he would give me when a test failed, or I had a rough day. The fire he had to help make people's lives better burns in me to this day and I will stop at nothing to make him proud! I feel he watched over me, I can sense his strength when things get tough or dangerous and I know with him in my heart I can do anything. I want to make myself the best researcher there can be so I can continue to spread his love and passion to every person in not only this department but this entire facility! I will be the voice of theirs that aren't loud, and I will help people thrive in their stay here, with my knowledge of the SCPs I've grown up watching and seeing I will only go up from here. No matter what I will always keep my study to domesticating these SCPs a priority in my mind because they deserve since so many of them have lived hundreds of lifetimes and just need some love and someone to understand them.
