No. What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?: I've been a part of the server for quite some time. Even though that time isn't consecutive. I know that I have what it takes to be an OSA as I was one once in the past. Even if the job has changed since then I'm certain I can easily adapt to whatever has changed since then and make sound, informed decisions when carrying out my duties. I participated in roleplay events as an assistant in the past and wrote reports on them for the O5, completed orders, and even made one of the older O5 Rosters that I believe was used at some point. What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?: Overseer Assistants act as a channel between the O5 Council and other parties. That is especially the case now that the O5 Council and A-1 have been redacted again. How exactly that roleplay works depends upon what roleplay is being done. Assistants in general carry out the orders the O5 give to them. That's not all they do however as they also help enforce the Code of Conduct by conducting investigations or interviews. Assistants can also authorize AA if that responsibility falls to them. Lastly, Assistants are informants for the O5 Council. They provide the O5 with site status updates, an account of daily events, or general tasks that are yet to be completed around site. Maverick Casualities: Zero (0) Incident Summary: On 03/02/21, MTF Omega-12 was dispatched to the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado after Foundation agents integrated within the U.S. Forest Service received reports from hikers of a strange man having entered the park. Our agents began initial investigations utilizing a hume scanner provided to them to assist in the detention of anomalous activity/entities. The measurement read thirteen times that of a typical reality bender. This prompted them to call MTF Omega-12 who quickly closed the park under the guise of a controlled burn taking place. After the park had been closed, MTF operatives began their sweep of the forest with little success. The overall hume reading in the area had drastically decreased in the time it took for the MTF to mobilize and respond. One operative suggested using drones to triangulate the source of the alterations. After delivery of the drones, operatives launched three (3) drones fitted with hume scanners in order to triangulate the location of the irregularity. After about an hour, triangulation was a success and led the operatives to a previously undiscovered cave on the northern end of the park. Omega-12 was able to enter the cave with relative ease and found a man standing over the corpse of another individual. On the ground was a large ontokinetic rifle depleted of charge. The corpse which it created was discovered to belong to a reality bender terminated by the man in the cave. The man, John S. Maverick, was wearing anti-reality bender armor similar to that of the Mk. IV Cicada Field Pattern suits used by the UNGOC in the 1980s. Mr. Maverick was stripped of his armor and sent to an interrogation cell in Site-██. Maverick: Yes, I killed that…thing in that cave in Colorado. Hawkes: That thing Mr. Maverick? Maverick: Yes, thing. I’m honestly a little surprised how long it took you guys to find it. I mean, the guy I spoke to said you’d already be on top of the thing by the time I got to it but, I guess you were late this time? Hawkes: I’m not sure who you are referring to. Who told you about us? [Silence] Hawkes: Mr. Maverick? Maverick: Ye-yeah sorry just thinking. Uhm I-I don’t think he gave me a name but he had this big purple m stitched into his jacket. I had to give him what felt like my life’s saving to quote on quote “Have a chance at taking it down”. Best purchase I made in my life though. Hawkes: And what exactly did you buy? Was it the armor and rifle in your possession when we found you? Maverick: Yes, that’s exactly it. Hawkes: Alright. Now, how did you come into contact with this salesman of sorts? Did you seek him out? How did you find him? Maverick: Oh, well, I didn’t find him. He found me. See, there was the incident a few weeks ago back home. That monster razed my town to the ground. The guy I met went over there to see what he could find and pawn off but when he found me he saw an opportunity to make some immediate cash. ‘Course facilitating revenge is a profitable business so I don’t blame him for giving me what he did. Like I said, I spent a pretty penny on that equipment but boy was it worth it. Hawkes: Our estimates place the price of those items at millions of dollars. How could you even afford them? Maverick Potential Use for the Council John Samuel Maverick holds high potential for multiple uses. His time as a GSD Captain and E-11 COM has made him highly devoted to our cause at the Foundation despite how he first came into contact with us. With his tactical prowess and vast intellect he may be of great use to us when placed into our assistant program. He would need some convincing to put down his gun for a seat behind a desk but mayhaps he would be more accepting of the change than we expect? There are a few SCPs onsite I’m sure he would love to work on for us. The only thing left to do is to make the offer. |
