For how long have you played on CG SCP: 3+ Months
Age: 24
In what country are you located?: Canada
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): Dan Bongos, Dan Bogos, "Strelok"
Civilian name: Johnny Salami
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?: Yes
What are your total levels?: 139
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- MTF Nu7 PVT (Held)
-CI-A (Holding)
-UNGOC SPC (Holding)
- External Affairs Senior Agent (Holding)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- 2 Anti-AFK Kicks
- 1 FailRp (Stood near breached SCP as 073)
How long have you been a Senior Agent for?
- Approximately 3 weeks
Why are you applying for Special Agent?
- Because of the roleplay and interactions that I've had playing as an Agent has been the most enjoyable compared to the other roles I've played on the server. Playing the Senior Agent has allowed me to open up new avenues of interaction and conjure up some interesting scenarios for fellow agents and GOI's (I.E Hostage negotiations on-site with an unknown threat). Now I feel like this is the next step, and this will allow me to continue experimenting with roleplay scenarios that everyone involved can enjoy and hope for more. I would like to use this position to help newer players with roleplay opportunities and how they can make the most out of any kind of situation that can be presented to them.
What makes you suitable for Special Agent?:
-I am very active on the server, very much a daily player. Though I've not held CL4 positions on this server, I've led and taught new members of multiple departments (I.E Bringing a lower clearance researcher to a CL level higher SCP with proper authorization to make reports while I oversee the test). I am able to represent the department with professionalism and carry out its tasks swiftly and efficiently. I can keep a cool head while in stressful situations and treat my peers with respect. And again, I would use my position to help acclimatize the newer agents to their role and answer their questions where I can.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
- As a DEA Agent I've never had the need to write documents, however, playing other roles I know how to write one correctly. Follow the outlined formatting for a document (usually in your spawns corkboard), depending on the type of document you are preparing (i.e. Incident Report, Research Paper, Surveillance Report...), you need to provide information that is relevant to the document, remove any excess that isn't necessary or bloats the document. Provide visual aids where needed (e.g. Illustration or Photo of SCP on a Research Study, Photo of the area or individual surveyed in a Surveillance Report...). The end goal of any document is to provide information directly and efficiently to anyone who may come across it.
What are the responsibilities of the Special Agent in RP?:
- Managing and mentoring the Agents and Senior Agents
- Reporting information and assisting the Agency Manager and above
- Authorizing or denying unblacklisted MC&D Salesmen on-site to sell exotic stock to CL3 combatants
- Training new agents and hosting tryouts for Senior Agent
- Leading operations against info breaches, Chaos Insurgency Site infiltrations, and raids (after being authorized)
Please give some lore about your Special Agent character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Dan Bongos was born on a crisp October morning in 1985 in Arlington, Virginia, not far from the heart of Washington, D.C. His childhood was marked by a deep curiosity about the world and a love for adventure. Growing up, he was an avid reader of science fiction and mystery novels, which fueled his fascination with the unknown.
In 2003, Dan enrolled in the United States Military Academy at West Point. There, he excelled both academically and athletically, distinguishing himself as a natural leader. He graduated with honors in 2007 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Over the next several years, James served multiple tours of duty in various conflict zones, including Iraq and Afghanistan. His exemplary leadership and ability to think on his feet earned him several commendations and promotions. However, his most significant turning point came during a deployment in 2012.
While stationed in Afghanistan, Dan's unit was assigned to investigate a series of inexplicable events in a remote mountain village. Reports spoke of strange lights in the sky and unsettling occurrences that defied explanation. During their mission, the team stumbled upon an uncontained SCP entity, designated SCP-XXXX, that had been inadvertently unleashed by a local insurgency group. The encounter was harrowing, resulting in casualties and chaos. But Dan's decisive actions and quick thinking helped contain the threat, earning him recognition from the SCP Foundation, which had been monitoring the situation.
Impressed by his ability to handle the anomalous and his unwavering commitment to protecting both military personnel and civilians, the SCP Foundation recruited Dan into their ranks. He transitioned from the military to the Department of External Affairs, where he received specialized training in dealing with Groups of Interest and unexplained SCP entities.
Over the years, Dan Bongos honed his skills in the Department of External Affairs, becoming a go-to agent for handling external threats. His missions have taken him to locations all over the world, from negotiating with the enigmatic Serpent's Hand in a shadowy Parisian catacomb to infiltrating a Chaos Insurgency facility hidden beneath the streets of Prague.
Dan is known for his dedication to the Foundation's mission and his calm under pressure. He carries with him a pocket-sized copy of the Foundation's motto, "Secure, Contain, Protect," as a constant reminder of the importance of his work. His experiences have shaped him into a formidable agent, dedicated to safeguarding humanity from the mysteries that lie beyond the ordinary.
