What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I am the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant because: I am responsible, I experience with other CL4 roles, as an IA ambassador, I work with enforcing the Legal Codex & COE, this translates very well to the role of ECA, as an assistant, you must always be on the lookout for ethical violations, being in IA helps me immensely with this role. Since I have been an ECA in the past, I understand what it takes to be an assistant, as well as what their responsibilities are. I understand that I was removed from ECA in the past, but I feel the removal has given me time to reflect on what I have done wrong and I can learn and build on what I need to improve on. I am also a command sergeant in Nu-7, which is the most senior NCO position, this shows my leadership capabilities and I can follow orders effectively, which is a great skill for ECA. I was also the GenSec "Alef-6" Advisor. I was in charge of going over ideas with their commanders and determining if the decisions were good or bad, and whether they should be implemented or not; this is useful experience when completing a departmental review; ECA's are required to do a departmental review every week. This experience, I believe, will be very beneficial to these reviews. |
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
Following The Orders Of The Ethics Committee | Helping The Committee In their duties | Authorising The Use Of AA (Advanced Armoury) During Containment Breaches | Authorising Sweeps | Writing Reports To The Committee | Signing Documents | Enforcing The COE | Giving Out Work Permits | Staying Professional And Mature |
Ethics Committee Assistants are tasked with following orders given to them by the Ethics Committee; they may act as a middleman between the committee and the rest of the site. | Ethics Committee Assistants are also to help the committee in their duties, which may include ordering MTF Omega-1 or administrating the site when no SA+ are on. They may also assist in administrating the site. | When containment breaches are not containable by regular means, ECA's may authorize Advanced Armoury if no SA+ are on-site. | If D-Block is getting out of hand, (Rioting D-Class) ECA's are allowed to Authorize a sweep of D-Block; they can assign a GSD Captain to carry out the sweep with all GSD members. | ECA's are also tasked with writing regular reports to the Ethics Committee about any important things that happened on-site while they were away or any updates regarding orders given to them. | Another job of ECA's is signing documents; for example, this can be a research study on 914. ECA's may authorize a test on 914 if they get approval from EC, or if there is no SC+ on, they may authorize or deny it. | ECA's are responsible for enforcing the COE at all times. | Another job of ECA's are to give D-Class work permits when they request, these permits can range from cooking in D-Block kitchen to being a receptionist in IA offices. | And last but not least, ECA's must remain professional and mature on-site at all times, even while off-site. This is one of the most important aspects of being an ECA, as they are representatives of the committee and must be respectful to everyone they talk to. |
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Jonquavius was born in the snowy village of pinewood, on October 7th 2003, his father was a Security Captain at Site-65. His mother died when he was just 6, he later went on to join the foundation as a Technician. He worked his way up to a Security Cadet. As a cadet, he was tasked with controlling D-Block riots, and keeping the site safe. One day during a particularly violent riot, he was shot in the arm by a D-Class. He was rushed to medbay to fix his injuries. He quit Gensec and joined the Department of Internal Affairs. During his time in IA, he made many arrests, and worked his way all the way up to ambassador, during this time he made many friends. He was well regarded and decided to apply for Ethics Committee Assistant, now he works in the Ethics Committee, serving the Committee and giving orders to Omega-1.
