What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
I believe that my experience in Site Administration as well as ISD/Internal affairs helps make me the best candidate for Overseer Assistant. As Site Admin I have experience in running day-to-day operations around the site such as authorizing tests or crosstests. As I currently hold the position of Site Advisor I am kept up-to-date with the majority of policy changes departmentally as well as Site-Wide. I also get a more unique outlook on situations like breaches, raids, or riots as I spend most of my time assisting by authorizing what is needed to help contain the threat or suggesting strategies such as using night vision and cutting the lights during a raid, or having a silent code-2 while A-1/O-1/ISD infiltrate D-Block to kill a Type-Blue or a Chaos Insurgency Deep Cover. My time in ISD/Internal affairs gave me experience in working privately and using discretion as I was a Sr. Cl4 member of the department I created, and assisted in the creation of many CL4 investigations as well as participated in them and it was very important to keep these matters on a ‘Need-to-know’ basis because if the information were to get out that someone, or their department were being investigated it would cause issues in the investigation and would ruin the authenticity of it, as most people being investigated would change their behavior if they knew they were being watched. Being an Overseer assistant is a unique position as they work directly with the overseers as sort of a liaison with other departments which requires tact and also the ability to determine if information relayed to me needs to be sent to the Council or if it is to be handled by other departments, such as an officer wishing to report a tech expert to Site Inspection for having a CL3 keycard, or more important matters such as an executive researcher with a well-structured test requiring Site Command approval.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:
- Authorizing the use of Advance Armory during breaches.
- Authorizing KOS past airlock when needed.
- Signing off on D-Class work permits
- Signing off on research documents when applicable.
- Assisting A-1 in the enforcement of the Code of Conduct.
- Completing O-5 orders.
- Informing the council of necessary information while they are off-site/busy.
Why do you wish to become an Overseer Assistant?:
I wish to become an Overseer Assistant because I would would like to explore the roleplay regarding the position such as being less of a public figure, working privately with a small informed group of people instead of site-wide initiatives, as well as fulfilling orders given by the Overseers. It would be my first assistant position so it would also give me a better idea of how factions like The Council and The Committee operate if I were to want or apply to join either later in my tenure I would have the needed experience. I would also be excited for the opportunity to work as a sort of middle-man between The Council and departments and offering my support where it is needed so that The Council and Departments can have a stronger and more collaborative relationship between one another.
