What Server Are You Applying For? SCP-RP USA
Do You Have A Mic?: Yes, it is my primary form of communication.
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: I have held NU-7 LCPL 2 times, CI-B, ECA, OA, 01 MAJ 2 times
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: Too my knowledge I have an Naming Con Warn and a Failrp Warn. The naming con is when i first began and was named Peter Griffin, and the Failrp is when I shot a matador at my afk 01 in bunks. (Everyone including the 01 and ECM present were ok with it, but staff not so much, too much tomfoolery)
What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why: I am Applying for the ECM role. There are a multitude of reason why i would like to apply, so i'll make a list:
- Done with 01; I feel in my 6 months of 01, I have helped greatly improve the regiment. I believe that the regiment is in a good place at the moment, and that it is time i move on to pursue my other goals, that being holding an ECM position.
- I would like to be involved in more RP intensive situations where my roleplay skills can really be put to use. I feel at the moment, as an 01 my only roleplay is to work 100% towards the safety of EC, which tends to conflict with the real roleplay I wish to pursue.
- I also wish to be apart of the maintenance of the Code Of Ethics and especially 01. From my extended period in 01, I have seen numerous terrible CoE additions and I simply wish to be another vote and voice in the process to make sure that all parties are considered (this is not a current issue, but in the past 01 has been neglected by some terrible EC choices and I wish for it not to happen again). As for 01, I simply want to continue being an advisor for 01 and its policies, but without directly being in 01 anymore.
- I also wish to have a bigger impact on GOI relations. I want to be able to interact with other GOI's (mainly GOC) in a more impactful matter.
- Adding on to that, I wish to improve relations with 05 and 01/A1. From an 01 CO position, it is very difficult to make significant progress in relations, and I feel with cl5 clearance i can achieve that goal more realistically than as an 01
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?: Ill again make a list
- Months of Sr. CL4 experience that directly co-insides with Ethics. I know what Ethics wants, does, and is about, and how they do things. I know the procedures by heart, and I understand their purpose in the server and lore very well.
- Adding on to that Cl4 Experience, I know how to command 01 in a proper way. I know how to strike the delicate balance between leader and friend for those in 01, so that when the time requires i can get 01 to get things done whilst still making 01 and enjoyable MTF to be apart of.
- My additions to 01. In my time as an 01 CO, I have added our PVT Test to ensure our newest members are able to operate independently, and have also greatly assisted and worked within 01's Chem making Units were we have made plenty of chemicals for the Committee and 01. I also have taught and assisted newer COs transition into their position.
- I have known all the current ECMs from before they were appointed to their positions, so I feel like I have known them for long enough to understand their character and what they are looking for in a new ECM, and they have set the bar for how an ECM should act and behave.
- My Loyalty. Every since October, I have been loyal to only 2 things: the Committee and 01. In these months, I have continued my loyalty for both regiments by tirelessly looking out for both regiments.
- My leadership skills: Being an 01 MAJ, I have participated in every CO appointment and many of their promotions. The COMs both understand my experience in 01 and thus trust me to aid in important decisions. I also have been doing field leadership for a long time, and organized 01 properly when it became necessary in order to complete a goal, whether it be combat a breach, exfil an ECM, or whatever else we may have to do.
- My problem solving skills; As an 01, I have encountered many areas where there was no simple right or wrong answer. Whether it be making on-the-fly lies in order to mask our objectives, or adapt to a rapidly changing situation, i have always been able to quickly produce a solution to any problem. For example, when 01 and another regiment have issues, I am responsible of quickly and swiftly dealing with said situations. When i am left to solve problems and they are not taken from me by a higher up, I have always come up with reasonable solutions that both parties come out satisfied with.
- Activity: I am known for being very active onsite and on other forms of communication. Getting ahold of me will never be an issue.
- And lastly, I have firsthand seen what an ECM should not be. I have been in my position long enough to understand what an ECM should and shouldn't be, and believe that I am very good at understanding the lines between the 2.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
- CoE: They are responsible for upholding and making changes/additions to the CoE whenever appropriate.
- They are responsible for working with SA in order to achieve a goal for the site or a specific department. Problems may also be delivered to SA and then delivered to Ethics for a final Verdict.
- They are responsible for handling problems above SA. As Site Command, it is their duty to solve problems that SA cannot handle.
- Adding on, as SC they are responsible for calling Code-Blacks to remove non-combatives out of the way for combatives to combat a breach. If a situation gets to dire, and ERT fails or the site is about to fall, they are responsible for activating the alpha warhead to halt an scp breach (and create an RP reset).
- They are responsible for enforcing the CoE to all site members. For lower site members, ordering arrests or educating them on what they broke and how to avoid such problems. For higher site members, hosting/attending/prosecuting/being a jury for tribunals of higher clearance site members related to the CoE
- They are responsible for ordering mass terminations of dblock when necessary (and they used to order mass amnestics, not sure if they still do ever since the chem update)
- They are responsible for signing off on research tests that Dpt Directors cannot.
- lastly, they are a Role Model. They are looked up to as the highest of the site, and must act like it through their professionalism and decision making.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
They Handle ECA applications and Dpt Director of IA applications.
They also determine the Commander of MTF 01
And lastly, they vote on new members of the Ethics Committee
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Interrogation Report - Loss of Site 56
Subject: 01 MAJ Knight
Date And Time: 5/16/22 3:43:55 AM
Knight quietly layed on his prison cell bed, preparing for his execution. He had already been served an execution order, for 8 AM sharp. He had a little over 5 minutes left of his life. He contemplated whether his decision was the right call. Oh well, it didnt matter now. Quietly, he reflected on his career in the foundation. Starting as a gensec cadet, joining NU-7, being drafted into 01, and now on death row. His promising career now became dull and barren.
Footsteps approached from down the hall. Knight was unsure of the time, but he was aware that he didnt have much longer. Every step that approached, his heart beat became faster and harder, until the footsteps stopped right in front of his cell; his heart dropped. There were his fellow 0-1, well not anymore, who had come to bring him to his execution. He was quickly detained, gagged, and blindfolded. He was then unblindfolded by an ECM, and observed that the whole commitee had come to watch his execution. The Chair Man read off his watch "7:59:48". Knight closed his eyes, counting each second in his head. "55, 56, 57, 58, 59". He stopped counting. He waited, but 60 passed and became 1 again. The chair man declared "As of 8 AM, 01 MAJ Knight is now deceased for treason against the foundation. Knight stood there, bewildered. Was he dead and now some sort of ghost, maybe a memory, or maybe this was all a really bad dream and he had too much to drink last night. The Chair Man stared directly at him, and offered his hand. "After much deliberation, we believe that we have found the newest member of the Committee. As of now, 01 MAJ Knight is dead, and you will have to assume a new identity." Confused, Knight questioned this decision. Why? the Chairman responded "well, you took the course of action a ECM would. When the administrator questions why a site has gone down, we can simply state our newest ECM ordered its detonation instead of some 01. Welcome, and congrats on proving yourself to us."
That day, 01 MAJ Knight Died. That day, Ethics Member Michael "Pawn" Scott was born.

Interrogation Report - Loss of Site 56
Subject: 01 MAJ Knight
Date And Time: 5/16/22 3:43:55 AM
Log Start:
As you know, I am Ethics Member [REDACTED], and thus i will be conducting your interrogation. Please state your name.
[REDACTED] "Knight" [REDACTED].
Knight, please give a detailed account of what happened prior to the loss of site 65.
Well, my boys and I were simply patrolling with ECM [REDACTED] when suddenly a CI raid happened. We made our way from LCZ Non Spec to Security Sector, where we stood by watching comms waiting for an all clear. After waiting 10 minutes with no word back, i ordered 01 to scout the area to Core Sector in order to prepare for an evac of out ECM. My 2 01 reported the all clear, and we swiftly made our way to Core Sector. However, whilst we were running on the bridge, a CI Deep cover disguised as a Sr. Researcher engaged us, and in the midst of our fight, a hidden explosive underneath the bridge detonated and put [REDACTED] into critical condition.
I believe there is more, yes?
Yes sir. After we had evac'd the ECM to 01 Bunks and brought the Dpt Director of the Medical department over, he was pronounced dead at [REDACTED].
Then what happened?
Then, our problems got way worse. CI had fought their way through HCZ, and had successfully breached SCP - 7722, SCP - 049, SCP - 076, SCP - 079, SCP - 096, both Type Greens, both SCP - 939's, and SCP - 173. And at the time we didn't know, but they had given an E-11 CO as a host to SCP - 035 and had been able to successfully steal 5 SCP - 008 injections.
State the chain of events the followed.
Uhm, well, E11 quickly fell to the SCP breaches, and such due to the lack of any SC availability, SA ordered the assistance of DEA and NU-7 with containing the SCPs. I quickly followed up by authorizing all Cl3+ combatives AA access.
What gave you the authority for this when AA authorization is strictly SC, SA, or MTF COM.
Well i believed that the site was guaranteed to fall if we didn't quickly authorize our most advanced resources immediately. Also, CI was not fully dealt with at the time, and i believed that the usage of Advanced Armory would aid in their swift termination.
And explain to me how SCP - 008 breached.
Well i cant say for certain, but over comms someone had reported they had seen a CI kidnap a NU-7 PVT, and seconds later, a SCP - 008 instance was spotted near the location of the reported kidnapping.
And from there-
From there, all hell broke loose. I ordered NU-7 to initiate code black procedures, and my 01 to start escorting non combatives, prioritizing Cl4 members, out of the site.
I'm confused as to why you did this instead of SA?
Well, i belive the Site Advisors and Managers were currently touring HCZ, going over E11 with new procedures. So i was under the impression that they were already terminated by CI or the SCP's. As for the manager, i had been making my way to his door to evacuate him when i got a comms from him.
What did he comm over to you?
He informed me that a mass horde of SCP-008 had amassed outside his office, and that he didn't have much longer to live. He told me that he was not long for this world. I responded that this breach did not look containable, and that drastic measures needed to be taken in order to secure the safety of the rest of the foundation, and the world. He agreed. He told me that if i could find a way to deliver him a level 5 card, he could find out the code to the Alpha [REDACTED].
So how did you obtain a level 5 card?
I put on a biohazard suit and made my way back to 01 bunks, where i saw the body of the ECM. I quickly secured his card and sent it through the chute to the SM's office. He repeated a 8 digit code to me. 93823451. He quickly sent back the card to me, and the last thing i heard from him was his screams as what i assume to be SCP - 008 had devoured him alive.
I think I can piece together what happened next, but for the record, please state the following events.
Well, i ordered all 01 to head to surface and prepare for emergency evac. I made my way to f3, ran past all the A1, and entered the Site Operations Room. From their, i announced a complete evacuation to all foundation personnel, and initiated the Alpha [REDACTED] countdown.
I see. Well, your story describing the start of the fall seems to co inside with other accounts. Now, why should you not be sent to the darkest pits the foundation has to offer for your treasonous action?
Sir, respectfully, i did not act treasonously. The Site was doomed, and SC and the SM were unavailable or KIA. There was no one above me left, so i acted based on what i knew Ethics would order; Detonate the site to protect the outside world. We, as the SCP foundation, work towards the containment of SCPs. In a situation where containment is not possible, i had to act in the interest of the foundation's secrecy and protection of humanity. I believe my actions were justified, and many lived due to my decisions.
In the interest of the foundations secrecy? A big blast like that has put DEA and others in overtime trying to solve.
Well, drastic measures are in place for a reason. I know my actions were justified, and so do you.
This conversation is over. If I were you, id say my final goodbyes.
