Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
- I am applying for the role of Executive Researcher for a few reasons. The first reason is my interest and dedication in the department of research as a whole. I acknowledge the fact that I don't have the most playtime on the server, but ever since I joined I have always enjoyed being involved in research studies, trials, cross-tests, and whatever else that is happening. The second reason is that even though I have only joined the server somewhat recently, I have spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of how the department of research operates and what people enjoy the most. When conducting research, you have infinite possibilities in how you can involve different people, how the test can go, what you can be researching, and how you can make the RP enjoyable for all involved. My third reason is that even though I believe the department of research is doing good right now, I think it has the capability of improving a lot. From my interactions with other researchers on the server, I have noticed a decent amount of people doing mainly samples and not spending much time on other research studies. I do not think samplings are bad in any way, but I believe the focus of the research department should be doing research on SCPs regarding things that we don't understand or are curious about.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
- I believe there are a couple of things that make me suitable for the position of Executive Researcher. The first is my commitment and dedication to the department of research. I am going to attempt to avoid repeating what I said in the previous paragraph but from the start, I have been doing my best to gain a knowledge of the department while attempting to improve myself. When I first started playing on Jr. Researcher, I didn't care too much about the quality of my tests, I was focused on leveling my research levels so I could start doing tests on the higher clearance SCPs. This led to me creating research papers that were low quality, and ended in tests that weren't very RP heavy. Upon having a few conversations with some senior and executive researchers, I gained an understanding of how much potential lies within the research department, including every SCP that lies within Site-65. After spending more time learning the SCPs and developing ideas, I continued conducting research trials, but this time putting much more effort into my documents. Finally, I started getting more involved with other researchers after all that I learned from the previously mentioned senior and executive researchers. From that, I learned of a multitude of different ways to improve my documents and tests. With that information and learned experience, I started my first big research paper, my test on SCP-049 regarding the criteria of his Pestilence diagnosis.

- Since I began playing, I learned through the researchers around me how to be a proper researcher and how to enjoy the server. I believe that with my time on the server and quickly learned experience, I can share my wisdom onto not only newer but also experienced researchers. I have a firm belief that everyone can bring something to the table and that even amazing documents can be added on by other people, and I would continue doing that as an Executive Researcher. Another thing that I believe makes me suitable for Executive Researcher is my leadership skills. In another Garry's Mod RP community, I have received a multitude of high-ranking leadership positions due to my ability to effectively communicate with the people under me, my ability to properly lead a number of teams while pushing for improvement where possible, and my ability to resolve any conflict as efficiently as possible without leading to any more conflict. Those skills can be easily transferred into the work that I would do as an Executive Researcher and would put me in a great position to be able to immediately focus on helping other researchers and the department as a whole.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
- As of right now, I only have one excellent-graded document. The reason behind this is due to me focusing on the absolute quality of all of my documents, though I am working on a few bigger projects currently. Regarding what makes a document excellent, I believe there are a number of aspects of a document that have to be combined and utilized properly for it to be considered excellent.

- One of the main things an excellent document needs is a high-quality proposal for the research study. I believe that documents that cover an idea or study that hasn't been done before are amazing, but it doesn't have to be completely original for it to be excellent. A study with a strong proposal and hypothesis and reasoning behind the test and how it could improve our understanding of the thing in question is something I believe is required for an excellent document.

- Another extremely important thing an excellent document needs is quality research. A proposal can only state a researcher's thoughts, reason, and hypothesis for the research study based on the existing knowledge. What is most important in a research study is the actual research and information gained from the study. When a researcher is conducting a study, they must fully understand what they are looking for or testing in a study, and they must be able to record that information and note it down well enough for the reader to be able to grasp what happened, what was learned, and what can be done based off of that study. Without quality research and the ability to record findings clearly, a document cannot be graded as excellent.

- The last two things I believe a document needs to be considered excellent apply to all parts of a research study and are more common sense. The first is formatting, a document must be formatted in a way where a reader is able to comprehend the information and be able to separate the different ideas in the text. Without good formatting, even high quality research can look poor, as it will look all over the place and unprofessional. The second is the ability to be able to conduct the research study while following the proper guidelines and policies, both research-based and site-wide. Guidelines and policies are established for a reason, and not being able to follow them will not only get you in trouble, but also potentially violates procedures that are there to ensure the safety, efficiency, and productivity of a test.

What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
- The position of an Executive Researcher comes with important responsibilities that they must be able to do with ease. The first of these responsibilities is to act as a role model and figure for the department of research. Acting as a role model is extremely important, as it allows other researchers to want to go to you for any help they need in conducting a test, improving a document, or questions that they have. Speaking from experience, role models are very important as they can be that figure that you can look up to and strive to be. On the other side of things, you are a figure for the research department. Anything that you do reflects the department as a whole, and it is extremely important to maintain a level of professionalism so that people can continue seeing the department in a positive light. The next responsibility they have is to handle any issues that happen within the department. Executive Researchers act as the administrative figure within the department of research, and they are there to enforce department policies. Any violation of the policies that are put in place must be addressed as soon as possible to ensure that this behavior doesn't continue. The last few things that they are responsible for are approving things such as documents and credits, supervising any tests when required or requested, and grading documents.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Senior Researcher Kroof was a researcher who was extremely invested in his work, known for paying close attention to detail. He was transferred to Site-65 after working with minor anomalies at a smaller Foundation outpost. In his free time, he would methodically browse through the databases and known information about the SCPs contained at Site-65. After much of this browsing over the course of a few weeks, he started to investigate SCP-049, nicknamed the "Plague Doctor," and the disease it calls the 'Pestilence.' Kroof has done a lot of research regarding what this disease truly is, inspecting every report he had access to regarding the disease and speaking to his co-workers. Through these conversations and reports, he kept getting told that the Pestilence was a made up disease and an excuse for SCP-049 to kill people, saying that he was curing them. However, Kroof didn't believe that someone as seemingly old and wise as SCP-049 would make up a disease for an excuse to kill someone. Upon drafting a research proposal regarding the disease and how the Plague Doctor actually diagnosed his patients, he brought it up for approval. Though he had looks from the other researchers, thinking it was a waste of time and resources, he argued his case until it finally got approved. He was ecstatic, finally being able to work with the SCP he's been so interested in. After finalizing the study, he started preparing everything that he needed to conduct the test. Upon getting all the preparations in order, he started his many trials on SCP-049 and what the disease called the Pestilence truly is.

Whilst I'm not privy to the USA server, I met Kroof roughly 5 years ago on another Gmod network. Kroof is an incredibly hard working person that took to any task that was given to them, they proved time and time again to be amazing in leadership roles and had some really funny RP along the way
