What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition? I can bring experience from my time in MTF and GenSec, so I'm already comfortable working in a team, following orders, and staying disciplined during high pressure situations. I'm also able to think for myself when needed instead of relying on others for every decision.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition? I want to experience something different from the Foundation and get into a faction with a different style of RP. I like GOC's structure, teamwork, and the way they approach situations. I also want to improve my RP. I would also like to add although this is my first time trying to join GOC I would love to learn all that I can from the people in this faction
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded? The GOC was founded in 1945 after World War II and the Seventh Occult War. The SS Ahnenerbe Obskurakorps attempted to use thaumaturgic artifacts to activate the Rite of Solomon. This led to the summoning of the Demiurge, which was eventually defeated. After this, the Allied occult groups came together under the UN and formed the Global Occult Coalition.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in, and give an example of some functions they do:
PHYSICS is the combat and reaction division of the GOC. They deal with KTEs, protect GOC personnel and FOBs, and handle combat related operations.
PSYCHE focuses on diplomacy and communication. They maintain relationships with other groups, negotiate with GOIs, gather information, and handle political interactions.
PTOLEMY is the support and research division. They handle things such as research, technology, logistics, transportation, equipment, supplies, and occult research.
What are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?
GOC's goals come down to a few core points:
1. Survival — Humanity's survival comes before anything else.
2. Concealment — Keeping anomalies and threats hidden from the public to prevent panic and casualties.
3. Protection — Protecting civilians and GOC personnel whenever possible while prioritizing humanity as a whole.
4. Destruction — Neutralizing or destroying parathreats when they pose a threat to humanity.
5. Education — Learning more about anomalies and threats to better understand and deal with them.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?
What makes GOC different to me is their focus on humanity as a whole. Instead of simply containing anomalies, they are willing to neutralize them if they believe it is safer for humanity. They also try to maintain diplomatic relationships with other groups instead of immediately resorting to force, which gives them a different style of RP compared to many other factions.
