Why are you applying for Site Director?
I am applying for Site Director for plenty of reasons, primarily because I want to continue improving Site Administration and the site as a whole. Over the past few months I believe Site Administration has improved significantly with how we operate. We have improved communication with departments, activity, and overall contributions to the site. If I were to be picked as Site Director, I want to ensure that the progress we have made isn't lost and Site Admin continues moving in the direction it currently is.
While the site is operating pretty well with Site Administration currently, I still do believe there are areas that can be improved. One of the main things I want to focus on is communication, both within Site Administration and the departments we oversee. I want Site Administration members to remain involved with their assigned departments, communicating with the leadership, while also ensuring that communication is being maintained throughout the departments own chain of command. I would also like to reinforce the chain of command throughout the site. Departmental issues should first be handled by the appropriate members of that department before immediately being brought to Site Administration, and the same should apply within SA itself. This would allow departmental leadership to actually lead their departments while still having Site Admin available when issues escalate or even when additional assistance is required.
Finally, I want to also ensure Site Administration is taking initiative around site. Whether that means creating roleplay, helping departments with projects / orders, addressing problems before they become large scale, or even just interacting with people. Overall, I do not want to change what we currently have, but to build upon it and continue improving the site as a whole.
What makes you suitable for Site Director over Site Advisor?:
I believe what makes me suitable for Site Director over Advisor is primarily my communication, leadership, and my willingness to take a proactive approach on situations around site. Throughout my time as Site Administration, I have always tried to maintain communication not only with other members of Site Admin, but also to the departments I oversee and the personnel around me. I believe communication is a very important aspect to a successful leader and department, especially as Site Director, where you will be responsible for keeping Site Administration organized, while also ensuring departments are working together effectively.
Another reason I believe I am suitable for Site Director is my leadership experience and the way I lead others. In my personal opinion, I dont think leadership should revolve around micromanaging people or constantly looking over peoples shoulder. Instead I prefer to give people the opportunity to handle their responsibilities while remaining available to provide assistance or step in when it is needed. While doing this, I am also willing to make decisions and take control of situations when its required.
Finally, my proactive approach to situations is another reason I would be suitable for Site Director. Rather then waiting for problems to arise before getting involved, I prefer to identify potential issues early and work toward resolving them before they turn into larger problems. This also extends beyond handling issues as I also actively look for ways to create roleplay, assist departments, and find ways to improve Site Administration as a whole.
