Age: 21

-
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
Consultant (Holding)
IA Agent (Holding)
SCP-22415 (Will Hold)

-
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: One expired warn for FailRP(A), way back when I first joined the server (it was for 939). I have had none since.
-
Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?:
The medical department has always been my favorite throughout the site, as evidenced by my many hours in my current role as Consultant and before my promotion to the MLT. During that time I have come to appreciate the department even more, but I also see room for improvement. With the unfortunate departure of our dearly beloved Dpt. Director, I believe now is the time for me to step up and apply.
-
What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:
During my tenure as Consultant, I have made many positive additions to the department, additions that I could expand further if given Directorship. For example, I have written guides on basic medical practice in the form of a lecture for our young trainees to find their foothold within the department. After all, our department needs fresh new doctors to properly function, but it can be hard to do that without proper instruction or guidance. I performed psychological evaluations for members of the site, and made sure to log medical related incidents, like the infamous SCP-8109-J Outbreak. I also have leadership experience beyond my Consultant role within the department as an Advisor (and at one point enlisted) of the HH-3 Combat Medic Subdivision, which is responsible for ensuring our medical leadership are protected and assisting Nu7 surface operations. Overall, I believe I wield not only the knowledge, but also the leadership and professionalism necessary for a Director of Medicine.
-
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:
Generally, Directors are responsible for changes and improvements to the department as a whole. The Medical Director is responsible for overseeing the entirety of the Medical Department, from Consultant all the way down to Trainee. They are the ones who develop departmental policy, and can implement or expand upon current medical standards and programs. With that power, is the ability to approve department-related documentation, as well as create said documentation.
They are also in charge of selection of the medical leadership team, discussing with other consultants to determine either acceptance or denial of consultant applicants.
Medical Directors also deal with external relationships between departments, including punishment for malpracticing doctors. External relations may involve advising researchers on medicine related studies or surgeries, contracts with MTF units, or meetings with Site Admin & Site Command.
Another important part of directorship is creating opportunities for RP within and surrounding the department. In the case of medical, whether that be surgeries, evaluations, or simply organizing fun medical events, directors are in the best position to supervise it.
Finally, they deal with normal medical leadership duties, including but not limited to licensing, lecturing, curing, EST, and maintaining department quality and professionalism.

Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Nothing interesting ever happened on the Boardwalk. At least, nothing interesting to Dr. Marvin Garden. The late night drunkards, party-goers, and beach bums may have appreciated the serenity and Luxury Tax, but to Marvin it was mind numbing. He and his medical talents were wasting away in that small town, and he knew it. One day, a strange patient walked in. Or rather, “shattered” in. Marvin had never seen anything like it, a man whose entire skeleton was completely fused together. The real shock was when he started to move, breaking nearly every joint in his body just to put a foot forward. Then, Marvin began to cough. Then, the hallucinations set in, and he finally collapsed on the floor of his clinic. Marvin dreamed that helicopters had descended, black vans surrounding his small clinic. Of course, this was preposterous! Or at least it was until Marvin woke up. The first thing he saw was a dim fluorescent light. Then the guards, surrounding a man with a black coat. The man made him an offer, to either return to the world with no knowledge of the strange humanoid, or to work to understand and cure such creatures. Marvin decided to take a Chance, rejecting the Community Chest to enter the anomalous. This, of course, was how The Foundation recruited Dr. Marvin Garden. He said goodbye to his family, his sister Marvina Garden, his uncle Marv Garden, and his brother Martin Garden. And of course his mother... Starting as a trainee, Marvin worked his way up the medical ladder. He cured countless personnel with his own concocted cures, diagnosed D-class who had suddenly developed Lung Cancer, and provided psychological evaluations to the tired and weary personnel of Site-65. Eventually, Marvin’s efforts were recognized by the department, and he was promoted to the leadership role of Medical Consultant. Marvin continued to do his best, licensing young trainees across the site and guiding the next generation of foundation doctors. He wrote documents, performed surgeries, and worked away for the health of the people he cared about. Even if that work often resulted in lower back injuries, and the occasional wheelchair. With many on site recognizing Marvin and greeting him every day, he made friends with people across many departments and disciplines. Even a few friends in high places. One day, an email showed up in his inbox. It was an invitation from a secure email address to throw his hat into the ring for selection of the new Site-65 Medical Director.
Marvin knew what he had to do.

It was time to Pass Go for the second time. (collect $200 from the bank)
(damn this monopoly game started when I applied for consultant and still hasn't ended)

“My name is Dr. Marvin Garden, and I'm with the Medical Team.”
