Age: 18
In what country are you located?: United States
Time zone: CDT (Arkansas)
Character name(s): Mayuri "F-150 owner", Don Howard.
Civilian name: Don Howard
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA
Do you have a mic?: Yes I do.
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
-I am currently holding E-11 SGT, CI-B, IA agent, and Executive Rsearcher.
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- I have two warnings one for FearRP and one for RDM. The reason I got FearRP is because I was new to roleplay and didn't understand the concept of it. I got the RDM warn because I followed an order from a superior that went against the legal codex.
Why am I applying for security captain?
The reason I'm applying for captain is because I have fun being a sargeant and I feel like it's time to take the next step. The General Security department has some great people that I like talking to from time to time and I find it pretty easy to lead since most of them are somewhat complient. I would also like to spread the knowledge I have gained from E-11, research, and the little experiance in IA to help GENSEC see outside of themselves and take other departments for consideration. With this knlowledge I would also like to create with relations with this position, those being mostly with E-11 and Research.
What makes me suitable for Security Captain?
What makes suitable for this position is my ability to lead, relations with other departments, and my passion for the Security Department. I make sure D-block is organized, secured, and I ensure that other GENSEC personnel are not acting out of their jurisdiction. My relations with other department could lead to more communication between us and them. This would make our reputation better and GENSEC would be more organized as whole if we did. And ultimately, my passion to make this department better with the previous 2 reasons I have mentioned
Aside from that, I would like to mention two character traits I have that make me mentaly suitable for GENSEC Captain. The first of these qualities I would like to talk about is patience. Patience plays a key role in GENSEC and I would argue it is really important for Captains to have a considerable amount of patience. When dealing with a D-class, fellow GENSEC, and other site personnel you have to take the time and make sure you take in consideration on what they want to do. For example, you have to make sure cadets and officers have proper instructions, because these players are newer to the server and might not know all of the rules so you have to spend the time to make sure you are giving them good instruction and taking extra time to ensure that they get a concept they might struggling on. Taking the time to help somebody or see their perspective can lead to making a very valuable member of the foundation and it happened just because you put in the extra time to help or understand them. The other trait I would like to mention is that I am adamant when it comes to leading. For those that unfamiliar with the word adament, when a person says someone is adament it means it's hard to change their mind. Outside of leading this trait is not very reprsentable, but when leading, it is one of the best traits you can have. When leading, there are times where you have to "put your foot down" and enforce something that is misunderstood or people don't care about. For example, sometimes cadets and officers don't listen to you, and when that happens you have to take further action to ensure they start acting professional and following orders.
What are the responsiblilities of a Captain in RP?
There are 4 responsibilities of a Captain that I feel that are the most important in role play. The FIrst one I mention is ensuring that D-Block is safe and secure. This means having GENSEC stationed at air lock, tower, and testing line at all times to prevent any harm to non-combative foundation personnel. When D-Block is not this way it can lead to D-Class having an easy time being in unauthorized areas in D-Block, testing being halted, and even in some cases, D-Class taking over D-Block. The second one I would like to mention is pretty simple which is following chain of command. Following orders from a superior is a fundamental concept that everyone should understand. When a Dpt.Chief plus gives you an order you do it because they have more knowledge and insight than you do. Another one is using RRT to help the foundation when needed. During a code 1 Captains should authorize RRT to set up ID checkpoints and send RRT to help neutralize intruders if needed. This will ensure the upmost safety of foundation personnel and making sure the site is secure. When a code 5 is in place, a Captain should make it clear that RRT should help with a breach unless ordered not to. During a Code Black Captains should order GENSEC to secure D-Block and get RRT to help escort non-combative personnel out of the facility if needed. The final one I will talk about is leading sweeps. When a riot is taking a place, it is the Captains duty to assess the situation and decide if a sweep is necassary. If a sweep is necessary then a Captain should contact a Site Administration+ to authorize the sweep. Once authorized it is the Captains job to get GENSEC to floor 2 of D-Block and brief the GENSEC participating in the sweep. When sweeping The captain needs to make sure everyone is doing their job correctly and everything is being swept. Once everything has been swept the Captain will tell everybody to pull it and go to floor 2, and when the participating members of the sweep are on floor 2 they are to be debriefed and credited. If a sweep fails they are to ask Site Administration plus to authorize another sweep.
Character Lore
Don Howard was a chemist from Arkansas that moved to North Dakota because of a job offer. Don Howard was your average southern man, he loved his truck which was a F-150 and had an odd addiction to cornbread. He also would take off work for two weeks during the summer time to visit his family in Canada. But, this last summer would be his last summer of normalcy. Don Howard was on the highway and saw a UPS looking box truck on the side of the road and decided to investigate because he had some knowledge on how to fix vehicles. When he got out of his truck he saw this strange looking mask but before he could investigate it he got knocked out from behind. While Don Howard was on the ground the foundation ran a background check on him found out that Don possed a lot of intellect and could prove useful to the foundation. Eventually, Don Howard was brought to the foundation and strapped to a chair until he woke up. Once, Don awoke from his slumber foundation staff started speaking to him about his life. He went on and on about his family, truck and cornbread, but eventually was amnesticized with Class-E and forgot all about his family, job, name, and some of his background. After this injection he would go on to be a researcher known as Mayuri Kurotsuchi due to his favorite anime bleach and his code name was F-150 owner due to obvious reasons. While working as researcher Mayuri would conduct interviews, gather samples to do chemistry with, and Did a couple cross test between SCP's. Around the time Mayuri was a Sr.Researcher he joined the Mobile Task Force Epislon-11 due to his expierance with gun safety and handling from his southern background. Around the time Mayuri became a Executive researcher he noticed that D-Block could use more security. It wasn't bad per say, but Mayuri thought he could be a valued member in the General Security department. When applying for this 3rd job for the foundation Mayuri knew that he wouldn't have much freetime when he got this position. Due to his prior experiance in E-11 he was more than qualified for this position which landed him a Sargeant slot in General Security. It took mayuri little to adjust to this position, but he soon started to lead D-Block and made it organized. While spending time as a GSD sargeant, he helped researchers, MTF, and other Security personnel to the best of his ability. Now Mayuri wants to take the next step in GSD and apply for Security Captain to expand his leading capabilities.
