Why are you applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador?
- I am applying for Internal Affairs Ambassador because, during my time as an agent, I have found that I have had a lot of fun not just in the role, but also with the people that I get to interact with because of it. I would like to be able to show new agents the ropes and to help guide them to make not only their time playing more enjoyable, but to be able to also enrich the experiences of the players that they are going to be interacting with on a daily basis so that they can feel as though they are having an enjoyable and engaging experience even if they are being arrested or detained for something. However, most of all, I would like to be an Ambassador because I want to have more responsibility and think that I can step up to the plate in terms of being fit for the position.
What makes you suitable for Internal Affairs Ambassador?:
-There are many reasons that I feel that I am fit to move into the role of an Ambassador. First of all, I feel as though I have the leadership and teaching abilities necessary to excel in the position, I believe that I am able to explain things in a way that is able to be easily digested and put into practice by those that I would be teaching important practices and guidelines to; as well as being able to correct deficiencies in a non-combative and beneficial way to those who would need further instruction. Additionally, I believe that I have shown that I can be personable and understanding to just about anyone which is an extremely important value to possess for someone who's main job is to act as a rehabilitator for the people who they are interacting with the most. Lastly, while I may not be a perfect fit for the position, I believe that I have shown that I am willing to put in the time and effort to improve where needed and will eventually become a valuable member of the Ambassador team.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
- I have written around thirty documents so far and I have learned many ways that documents can stand out from the pack. Firstly, and most simply, is formatting, having the proper format in your documents not only coveys professionalism to those who will read it in the future, but also allows for a quick and concise delivery of the most critical information that needs to be conveyed from the document to the reader. Also, including detailed descriptions about the incidents that you respond to will help not only your direct superiors in understanding where there is room for improvement, but it also helps other departments and MTF's keep up with and have a deeper understanding of incidents that are occurring with their members. Documents are one of the most important tools in Internal Affairs to promote role play. By creating documents that allow the reader to paint a clear picture in their mind of events that have occurred you are in a sense allowing them to experience what you did. However, while it is important to be descriptive in reports it is also necessary to only convey what is needed to understand the situation and leave out extraneous details. Things that should be included are locations of importance, names and role of those involved, a description of the event in question, and your response to said event. By including these your reports they should provide more than enough information for the reader to have a great understanding of the situation.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Ambassador in RP?:
- There are many responsibilities for those who are chosen to take the role of an Ambassador. They are the main trainers for almost all agents and operatives entering Internal Affairs, they are the ones who provide insights and critiques to agents on how to improve their reports, they lead critical investigations, they give agents tasks and responsibilities that adapt with the ever changing situation on site, they take the mantle of a role model for not only agents, but also other site staff, they help non-combatants get to safety during crises, and they approve opportunities for agents to get a view of higher level tests and areas on site to help them learn and assist further. They are also, as included in the name of the role an Ambassador between Internal Affairs and other departments to ease the transfer of important information.
Please give some lore about your Internal Affairs Ambassador character and what storylines they would be involved in:
*sigh* A pale faced, middle age man with greying hair sits slumped at a desk deep within the Internal Affairs office. He has dark circles under his eyes and multiple empty Styrofoam cups that are stained brown from what appears to be old coffee surround him. The only thing illuminating the light-barren room is the lime green glow from the terminal that he is seemingly endlessly typing on. As he reaches for a folder from a large pile stacked on his desk he laments, "Just how many times can there be rogue chefs that get hired here? It can't be a coincidence at this point, there's just too many incidents. Maybe I should send this higher up the chain, who knows, they might just find a cabal of evil chefs plotting against the Foundation. Wouldn't be the craziest thing to happen, especially after ********, ugh just thinking about it gives me the creeps.". As the man gets lost deeper into his own thoughts, suddenly, a blast of bright white light overtakes the room. As the man looks back towards the door with squinted eyes he sees the familiar sight of one of the Ambassadors for Internal Affairs, dressed in a black suit with a white undershirt and bright red tie with a level four keycard attached to a lanyard around his neck, looking down at a file stamped Classified Level 3 that is open in his hands, he begins to speak; "Michaels. We have another incident we would like you to investigate.". As he looks up from his folder his eyes begin to flash between the disaster that is Michael's desk and the dark circles that have seemingly overtaken his eyes. Flashing a complicated look towards the man he begins to speak again "When was the last time you slept? It isn't healthy or efficient to work this long and burn yourself out." he says coldly. He walks over to Michaels's desk and places the innocuous file on the man's desk. "Get some sleep, then, when you come back refreshed, this becomes priority number one for you until your investigation is complete." he says as he points at the file. "You can place your other investigations on hold until you are done as this is quite time sensitive and will most likely require a great deal of time from you.". Michaels responds, still looking quite delirious from his many missed hours of sleep, "Of course Sir, you can count on me, I'll make sure to get to the bottom of whatever this file entails as quickly as possible.". The Ambassador's disposition suddenly changes as he lets out a light chuckle, "You might want to take a closer look at that file before you start making promises like that.". With a slight confusion plastered onto his face Michaels finally opens up the file the Ambassador had placed onto his desk. As he begins reading he can't help but feel more engrossed by each word that he reads, a look of shock becoming apparent on his face. By the time he reached the end of the file his already pale face had turned almost ghost-like. He slowly began to speak again, seemingly much more alert than before; "Sir, although this might take a while, I swear I will do whatever it takes to resolve this as quickly and quietly as possible.". A genuine smile appears on the Ambassador's face, "Good, that's what I like to hear. I expect an initial report on my desk by noon tomorrow.".
