What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why :
- Ethics Committee Member ; I'm applying for this role because I believe I could do many great things while being apart of Ethics. My current position as the Director of Medicine have greatly shown me about how serious and how important Ethics are, and I wish to be an active participant in the role and be taken in a more serious manner. I wish to be able to make positive changes around the Foundation and show the people just how important Ethics are and how they effect individuals, Departments, and even Regiments as a whole.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee? :
- I believe that I'm the best candidate for the position because of how involved I try to be with my roles. I'm always striving to see optimism around site and I try to interact with as much people as I can when I am active on site. I also try to be active in as many RP scenarios as I can, but I will admit, I think I fall just a tad bit short under the recommended limit of being in active RP events due to my inability to be on during those times. I strive to see a lively crowd, and I try my best to set up something interesting around my area so it's not totally stale.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP? :
- Uphold & enforce the Code of Ethics
- Manage & properly update the Code of Ethics
- Working alongside Department Leaders & Site Administration for proper communication
- Conducting or making various RP Scenarios
- Assisting with external relations with certain GOI's
- Calling ERT, Authorizing AA, Announcing Code Blacks, or enabling a Warhead (ONLY during serious situations & when it's drastically needed)
- Assist in Tribunals that require an Ethics Member presence
- Oversite & tasking orders of O-1 & Ethics Assistants
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP? :
- Appointing new Directors of ISD
- Appointing O-1 Commanders
- Approving/denying Ethics Assistant applications
- Updating & Managing the Code of Ethics

While sitting in her office, Monica had been lighting tapping her pen on her desk while practically lost in thought. She had been staring at an empty paper sheet for nearly ten minutes before the door to her office opening and closing had nearly startled her. It was her fellow Director who had come in and started to question her on why she had been so silent for the past couple days. Monica had let out a heavy sigh. “I wish I had the answer…” She murmured, slightly spinning in her chair.
Her fellow Director questioned her again with an “Is everything alright with you personally?”
Monica paused. She looked out her window for a brief second before answering, “Do you ever feel like you wish you could do more in your position?”
The Director lightly shook their head a ‘no’. “Do you feel like you want to do more?” They asked.
“Yeah, I do. There’s so many things I wish I could change, so many things I want to achieve, prevent! Yet, here I am in my office as the Director of Medicine unable to do anything!” Monica stated with a fist hitting her desk in frustration. There was a lingering silence that followed. Monica sighed once again before standing up. “Sorry… I’m going out to clear my head.”
Before she could make it out the door, her Director spoke up. “Y’know… They’re looking for a new Ethics Committee Member.” Monica stopped dead in her tracks.
