Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
So far, I've enjoyed my time in the medical department. In my time of working as a doctor for the foundation, I've had it recommended that I should consider becoming a consultant for my skills in constructing documents of learning materials and for my positive interactions with others so far. After some thought on it, I decided to go for it to have more opportunities to assist in providing care to those on site.
I enjoy getting to interact with various types of members on-site who come into the medical center for various reasons and getting to treat them.

What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
I'm eager to both learn new things and to help spread knowledge to those wanting to strive in the medical field at the foundation. I do my best to be helpful to those who need medical assistance. I've put lots of time in as medical staff, so I also feel plenty knowledgeable enough to take on this role and to carry it out well.

Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
One medical procedure I seem to find myself carrying out pretty regularly is Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Certain instructions for the procedure are pretty interesting to me, though all steps are obviously important so as not to cause harm to the patient receiving the procedure.
But to explain it, we first ensure the patient in question must, of course, have a valid reason for getting ECT. Cases of accidentally observing SCP-096, curable illness, fixable injuries, and a few other things are not fixable by the procedure. Things such as disguise removal, anomalous effects, stuck equipment, etc. can be fixed by the use of ECT.
Since there are some dangers to the use of ECT, asking for consent is very important to make sure you have before starting... unless overridden by members of certain departments in cases of disguise removal.
Once being informed of the ailment the patient has, and deciding it falls into the field of ECT being the best treatment, as well as consent being given then the patient is to lie down on the machine's bed with the instruction of "Please do not go into the light."
I've had some ask why they shouldn't go into the light, and I've usually given the answer that the light is death when asked this sort of thing. I've never been corrected on giving the info, so I would assume it's correct.
Once the bed charges and the patient receives their shock from the ECT machine and the procedure is finished, they are then free to stand and go about their way unless any other concerns are expressed.

What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
Medical consultants are there to help advise those seeking knowledge or training in the medical department, keep order amongst the medical staff under them, and to make sure things are organized and properly documented.
It's also good if a consultant is able to create more roleplay opportunities with medical staff. A good example would be scheduling a surgical procedure for a Senior Doctor who has expressed wanting to do a surgery to either learn how to properly do one or so they can be marked off for having the experience in cases where said doctor would like to move up in the ranks.

Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Even before the foundation, Niki had been studying to go into the medical industry. She wanted to become a doctor because there were not many medical professionals close to her childhood home, since it was so far out in the country, where her father and older sister still lived.
After the mysterious disappearance and death of her mother, Niki returned home to the countryside to try to return to something familiar and to grieve the loss of her mother with her family. Unfortunately, at that time, she had a streak of bad luck as not even a month later, while working out in the barn, her family home was spontaneously set ablaze by something unknown.
Niki could've sworn she saw something unnatural moving in those flames, she was so distracted by this fact that she didn't have time to stop her sister from trying to run towards the home. She was relieved for a moment when someone else stopped her instead, but this relief didn't last long, as Niki realized she didn't recognize the people suddenly in front of the blaze that was her family home, so she chose to hide instead. This seemed to save her from getting whatever memory of the incident wiped like her sister.
All of this left Niki with more questions than answers. Sudden unexplainable family death, mysterious figures with blacked out vehicles, and her sister in the hospital with memory loss. She needed answers, so she went looking for them figuring if she was smart enough to get most of the way in getting her medical degree, then surely investigating these strange occurrences shouldn't be as difficult.

While hot on the trail of what she thought would bring answers, she ran into a strange man calling himself 'Gypsy'. He deemed that there would be no way Niki could get this close to discovering the Foundation if she didn't have some sort of good head on her shoulders, and at being told that she had previously been thriving in studying to become a doctor... he found she could be useful to those he works with.
Niki was brought back to Site-65, where she stuck close by 'Gypsy' as she got her bearings as medical staff for the foundation, while he was working as a combat medic to keep a close eye on her. Even when he'd move up to being an Ethic Commitee Assistant, Niki would still hang around, but it was more due to the pair having a mentor and mentee relationship... then having to keep an even closer eye on the, now Assistant, due to his physical health being found to not be the greatest. She'd become a sort of personal doctor and medical advisor for him when on site.

In her time working in the medical center, she became acquainted with some of the staff. But the most influential for her would be the two consultants she interacted with most often. Consultant Tony and Consultant Athena, both often friendly towards Niki and indulging her underlying desire to learn more and grow in this new environment.
Even if Niki hasn't gotten all the answers she's wanted yet of what happened to her family, mainly what actually caused the death of each parent, she seems satisfied with her placement in the foundation currently... even with the dangers of working in a facility with dangerous creatures.
