I do have a short paragraph at least explaining why the imp would be involved. Shortly after his deployment to the UNGOC Pinewood FOB, newly enlisted operative Noel Carlock was dispatched to handle an infestation in a small town located just south of the Canadian border between Montana and Saskatchewan. The infestation, unidentified at the time, consisted of small, bipedal creatures that had been antagonizing the town. The inhabitants complained of trash cans having been knocked over, items going missing, even claw marks along their back doors. It was at first assumed to be raccoons, until more than one of the civilians started seeing those creatures out in earlier hours of the day. The Assessment Team was sent to validate the anomalous presence, and a Strike Team was dispatched soon after, including Carlock himself. The operation went off without a hitch, with presumably all of the creatures being exterminated. However, upon returning to the FOB, Carlock revealed that he had taken one of those creatures with him, claiming it to be for further research on the entity. He has been tasked with its care until research is complete, at which point the perceived course of action is liquidation. Due to the appearance of the creature and its connection to Noel, he was given the callsign “Imp”.
