What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):
I am applying for the position of O5-4, with the codename ‘The Unknowable’. I seek this position to help close the gaps in FCOM coverage with the busy lives of everyone, to help extend the helping hand of guidance to all more thoroughly, and most of all, to bring my unique flavor of roleplay to new heights. The masses deserve roleplay, and the masses deserve to have all sides of FCOM available more around the clock.
What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:
While I may lack more senior experience around every facet of the combative experience, I have spent a considerable portion of my time in and around combative groups. I see their struggles, I hear their concerns, and wherever I am able even now, I do what I can to elevate their experience. Outside of combative roles, I am one of the senior members of Research leadership at the present moment. Both as Executive and as OSA I seek to learn about and work with all departments.
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:
- Working closely with Administration and Research on effective research of anomalies, discovery of anomalies, and that staff standards are being enforced.
- Authorizing significant testing that requires Foundation Command to approve; such as SCP-008 or highly risky cross testing
- Maintenance and upholding of the Code of Conduct as well as the Legal Codex
- High level emergency response, such as the calling of ERT teams, or the detonation of the emergency warhead to prevent catastrophes within from impacting those beyond the Site walls
- The creation of projects and orders for Assistants, Alpha-1, and the Site as a whole(Medical, RSD, etc.)
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
- The appointment or decisions on A-1 Commander
- Voting on and discussing OSA candidates
- Discussions of candidates for induction to the council
- Decisions on Director of Research and Site Director applicants.
Please give some lore about your O5 character and what storylines they would be involved in:
The room is dark, the desk outside looks long packed up. The large, nearly empty meeting room within is nearly entirely bomb proof. Memory itches, why is this so familiar? A voice rises from the desk across from the large conference table.
"Who are you?" The voice is monotone, uncaring, unflinching.
"I am Natalia Eli-" She is cut off sharply by the suited figure across from her.
"I will not ask again, who are you?" The figure sounds annoyed now, agitated. "You have clearances that check out, and far older clearances that come from places that don't exist. Why is your name on documents with that high of clearance? Why are you assigned to three Sites at the same time?"
A figure steps out from behind the suited figure, wearing a similar suit that seems utterly foreign on the task force operative.
"Are you a spy? Are you here to subvert our security?"
"What? No- You know who I am, sir. I'm a Senior Level Researcher for the Antimemetics Division, and at Site-62 after..." Her voice is sharp, but wavering. Her convictions in matters of her life has been in question for some time. She speaks back up cautiously, "I was a senior level researcher within the Antimemetics Division, and my name is Natalia Elizabeth Carpenter. I do not know the circumstances regarding my removal from the Division, nor my relocation to Site-62. Perhaps recordkeeping did not file my transfer correctly."
"Enough of the lies, Carpenter. There is no Antimemetics Division. There is a Memetics Division, there is an Anomalous Studies Division, Personnel Division, Division A- but there is no Antimemetics Divison." They speak sternly as their operative rests a hand on their sidearm.
"Yes there is, or there was. Mrs. Wheeler lead us, it was started shortly before I signed on with the Foundation. I was invited to join later by Wheeler herself, you must know! Decades of work, decades of research must be logged with RAISA, have them look again." She is getting frustrated, how could nobody remember the Division, it was huge? At it's peak, at her peak, there was 400 groups of us. There were 4,000 of us?! They don't remember.
"Let's say for a minute that I believed you, that still doesn't explain. How are you still here, woman? The contract you signed when you joined the Foundation is dated June 23rd, 197█, and a secondary one moving you from Field work to in-site work is dated October 15th, 199█. Then your assignment to Site-62 was dated February 14th, 202█. Such a long career with the Foundation, yet you only exist as small blips on the radar until recently." The suited individual leans in, their hands folded together. "Just be aware, Carpenter, your assignment to assist the Council does not absolve these discrepancies. Tread lightly."
The agent approaches Natalia alongside three others emerging from the darkness and they escort the Assistant out of the meeting room. The large blast resistant bulkhead slides backwards into the walls as it creaks open to allow passage.
Why wouldn't he believe me? Haven't I proved myself? Oh Mrs. Wheeler, if only you would answer my calls...why can't they remember us? What happened to us? Why does it always feel like my first day on the job...?
