In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): "Oranger", Derrick "Orange" Peterson
Civilian name: Lenrick Peterson
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- CI-A (No longer)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- I haven't received any recent kicks or warnings. I have been job banned once for a day for attempting a (definitely unauthorized) 12 man 087 test
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
- I've been told that I should, and I think that it would be fun to open myself to new opportunities of research
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
- I think that I am able to be a creative team-player to the division and can help newer or less experienced researchers find their footing to improve themselves. Along with my collaborative skills, I can assist in new ways for all sorts of research projects.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
- I believe 5 or 6 excellent grade documents, I forget.
- What makes a document excellent comes down to 2 factors: It should be informative, It should have character. All three are needed in some sort. If the document isn't informative it makes it difficult to understand and read. If the document has no character, then it makes it boring to read, and character can add to the informative side too with images and diagrams adding to the context of the text. Documents without character lose much of the charm that having an RP makes, and with the tool writing reports should add to one's character and show more about them. It makes the document enjoyable to read.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
- In RP, Executive Researchers have the responsibility of overseeing much of the research and helping out with newer and less experienced Researchers. They also are responsible for reading and grading documents that are posted on ScipNet. It is their duty to hold a professional but compassionate place in the division, assisting wherever they can.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Researcher "Oranger" is a long time member of the SCP foundation. He has worked throughout the states in many different sites and slowly earning trust and a reputation before being stationed at Site-65. Previously "Oranger" worked in Site-42 and Site-██ developing many new ideas before being moved to Site-65. He has made some mistakes and caused a very small amount of trouble, but all of that has given him a refined respect for D-class as he knows what they have to go through constantly and will do his best to respect the lives of his subjects as much as the foundation personnel around him. He has seen what happens when worse meets worse, as in the case with Site-██. As when people fight and are unable to collaborate with each other, it can lead to the complete destruction and downfall of a well built system. "Oranger" Doesn't want to see that happen again, so treats most people with respect or at least is calm with the situation.
"Oranger" also is the second brother of the Peterson's. His older brother Derrick previously working for the foundation MTF before mysteriously disappearing, and his younger brother Lenrick opposing what the foundation stands for. Seeing a better fit for open information rather than enclosed secrets. "Oranger" understands the foundation's motive, but does see reason in what his brothers think, so he keeps a close bond with his younger brother as to not lose him like he did with Derrick.
After the premature destruction of Site-██, "Oranger" was moved to Site-65. Bringing his past knowledge, he thought it would be as simple as before. Unfortunately, he was informed he would have to start back over from the start, and he was also informed that he was not allowed to share any information from his previous work cycle. So "Oranger" worked, slowly from the beginning back to the Senior Position he held before. Many of his colleagues and friends told him he should try for a promotion to Executive, as he would be a good fit, but he was comfortable where he was. After a long discussion with a close friend, he was pushed into finally taking a new step into the researching world. With a little bit of guidance, he made the first step and finally decided to write the letter.
