Special Containment Procedures
SCP-9183-H is a sentient humanoid entity currently contained at Site-23, █, █ contained within a nonspecialized humanoid cell. Personnel with clearance level 1 and above are allowed to enter SCP-9183-H's cell without the need for authorization. The cell is to be kept at 3 degrees below room temperature and kept filled with entertainment that is non-electronic. Requests may be made for furniture, food, and entertainment.
Description
Personnel entering SCP-9183-H's cell may address it as Shika, but will respond to 9183. Considering the previous status of SCP-9183-H before assimilation by unknown means, inspection of the facial covering shows the deer-like mask is constructed of bone and silver. The head of SCP-9183-H is formed of carbon fiber and Kevlar, and when the mask is removed, there are no defined features of its face, seemingly molded around the mask's indentation on the head. Its eyes and several parts of its face are made of an electroluminescent material and glow in the dark when SCP-9183-H is awake and conscious. When SCP-9183-H is unconscious, all glowing parts shut off and do not emit any light. The body structure of SCP-9183-H has maintained a mostly humanoid appearance and has a slick appearance on the surface, but visually is similar to a baseline human being. Where the human tailbone sits, a Kevlar tail similar to an enlarged deer tail is there, which, upon closer inspection, shows to be linked to the original spinal system, bone structure, and vein systems. As SCP-9183-H complied with a study on their biology and DNA structure with Site-23 medical staff, it was discovered that affected parts of their body were transfigured and stabilized via unknown means and seemingly conformed to a standard based on the species Cervidae, or otherwise known as deer.
Item History
SCP-9183-H was a previous Jr. IT Technician on SIte-23 before a cognito-hazard was emitted from SCP-1807's computer after turning it on to run a diagnostic check on the containment cells camera. After the on-site AIC had detected the cognito-hazard, it had shut down all non-required electronics relating to the containment of SCP-1807. Site-23 Quick Response Force had entered SCP-1807's cell and saw SCP-9183-H in the early stages of assimilation. Site-23 ISD sector was utilized by Site Administration to contain SCP-9183-H's unconscious body in a private humanoid containment cell. After 2 days of inactivity, Site-23 medical staff performed basic sentience and living checks on the subject. Doctor █ had pressed upon SCP-9183-H's chest, causing it to shoot up and nearly knock off █ and look around at the surrounding site staff before asking what happened before passing out again. SCP-9183-H's body was inspected by non-invasive medical procedures done on a sterilized surgical table present in Site-23 Medical Sector. Doctors had struggled to inspect the body's material as it had the previously stated slickness. Having inspected the anomalous sections of SCP-9183-H showed that their nervous system was still reacting to stimuli, eyes, tail, and non-anomalous body. When checking with portable X-ray technology, it was shown that SCP-9183-H's heart, brain, and nervous system had a large amount of grey wires going through and over internal organs. As SCP-9183-H showed no negative effects of the wires running through it, no action was taken regarding them.
Containment History
During SCP-9183-H's first year in non-specialized humanoid containment in Site-23, several requests were made to speak to the Ethics Committee liaison of Site-23, Senior Containment Specialist Richard Mat, and Site-23 Administration. All requests made to speak to personnel were denied by SCP-9183-H's Lead Researcher . Requests for entertainment and changing of food rations were accepted under heavy scrutiny from the Lead Researcher █. One containment breach attempt occurred on December 12, 2022, in an attempt to reach Senior Containment Specialist Richard Mat. Items previously granted based on requests were taken away, and no allotted amenities were allowed for 1 month. SCP-9183-H's second year in containment was reportedly much quieter and seemingly reaching a dead end. Lead Researcher █ was asked for a status report on SCP-9183-H's anomaly after a year in containment showed no progress in testing. During the months of April 30th to June 6th. Over 7 tests were conducted regarding SCP-9183-H's intelligence, memory, strength, retention of information, mathematics, advanced mathematics, and history of itself. These tests all showed similar results to IT Technician Shika Faline's college test results and online intelligence testing. Reported by Lead Researcher █ to Ethics Committee Liaison of Site-23 and forwarded to Ethics Committee judgement on if SCP-9183-H previous employment as a Foundation IT Technician could be re-established, as testing showed SCP-9183-H's pre-assimilation state of mind. Ethics Committee had met with Lead Researcher █ and Site-23 Site Administration Personnel on SCP-9183-H's stay as a contained SCP or an anomalous personnel status. Review of the Site-23 that caused SCP-9183-H's appearance change and the two years in containment. Ethics Committee meeting had a vote with the current members attending, passing on the return of SCP-9183-H's foundation staff status under anomalous personnel restrictions, with a vote of 7 in agreement and 4 in disagreement. Due to the status of Site-23 as a site for storage and containment of SCP items. SCP-9183-H was allowed to suggest one site to transfer to. SCP-9183-H had stated that they would need more time to consider this decision, but if they had to choose at this current moment, Site-65 was stated as their preferred site of transfer. A memorandum regarding the statements made during the Ethics Committee meeting to Site-65 administrative personnel.
Current Standing
After the letter of transfer of SCP-9183-H to Site-65 was sent, a grace period of 1 month was set into motion, SCP-9183-H was given time to talk to previous Site-23 personnel involved with the anomalous incident that caused their SCP classification. Richard Mat was their most talked-to personnel as they were their previous apprenticeship lead as Senior Containment Specialist. Several talks of trying to keep in contact and sending emails through SCIP-NET had been discussed, but needed authorization as of Site-23's classified status to clearance level 1 personnel. Lead Researcher █ sent several emails to Site-23 Administrative Staff regarding SCP-9183-H's transfer to Site-65 and reinstatement as foundation staff. This had caused an investigation into the computer taken by ISD, but Senior ISD personnel stated they never received one. This investigation is ongoing and is still being classified under Site-23 personnel clearance checks. 1 week before transfer to Site-65, a metallic box containing a paper copy of an instruction manual labeled "PBO Manual" with a shipping information sticker coming from Anderson Robotics was shipped to The Foundation, and the name of the package reciever was Lead Researcher ██████. As the transfer of SCP-9183-H was only a week away, questions of whether this object is a red herring to throw off a trail of GOI espionage or a true manual of a "PBO" has yet to be determined. Manual was sent to Site-55 for further study and tracing of the package and manual. The transfer of SCP-9183-H to Site-65 under the name of the previous name Shika Faline is to occur, no matter the current ongoing discussions.
