Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
Executive Researchers are the brightest minds of the Foundation. They're knowledgeable on the facility, the rules, researching procedure, and are creative and passionate about Research, and Scientific discovery.
I wish to join the ranks of Executives because they set the example for the R&D department, and I want to leave a positive impact.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I've led many successful research studies, and tests; some that were above my clearance level. I have a creative mindset, and wish to involve the research department in fun, and educational studies. My Studies have been recognized by multiple Executives, and a former Executive declared one of my studies "The best I've ever seen."
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
5 of my Documents have received an "Excellent" rating
"SCP-682 Sample Collection" | "SCP-099 Cognitive Variance Study" | "SCP-087 Expedition G-II" | "SCP-035 invasive Sampling procedure" |
"Unraveling Immortality: A SCP-682 Whole Genome analysis"
Creating an excellent document requires time, and effort. Aspiring Researchers should take note that Excellent means more than just writing your results.
- A proper title, complete with graphics, and classification to ensure prying eyes know not to look. Graphics also help to grab the eyes of the reader.
- A table of contents, for ease of navigation, and to find a particular subject.
- A detailed Introduction, procedure, and results. Tell the reader what you want to do, how you're going to do it, and what happened when you did it.
- A conclusion that summarizes your pages into a neat synopsis. Follow up with what you wish to do with the results.
- A signature, or sign of credit. You wrote it, own it.
- Prior to uploading it for grading, have a peer review it. Constructive criticism is helpful in making an excellent document!
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
-Pave the path for the Research Department. Executives lead the way for their junior peers, with classes, peer-reviews, and approving their research studies.
-Speak with Site Administration regarding on-going research, with proper documentation, and oral reports being ready at a moments notice.
-Having sound knowledge on the research policies of the Foundation, and to ensure that your junior peers know as well.
-A drive to uncover the terrifying wonders of the SCP Universe.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Dossier, Site-65
Name: P. Pepperoni
DOB: 01-28-1979
Nationality: Sicilian
Clearance Level: 3
Position: Senior Researcher, Genetics Department
Education:
Concluding his graduation at Oxford, Peppino's desire to unravel the unknown caught the eye of the SCP Foundation. He was offered a position as a Junior Researcher at the reclusive Site-65. Peppino accepted the offer, and his career truly started.
Initially, Peppino was intimated by the scope of the Foundation, and the terrifying horrors within. After dozens of studies, and many sleepless night, Peppino was welcomed by the board of Executives to join their ranks, which Peppino gladly accepted.
- 6 Months later
Peppino Pepperoni stared at the monitor displaying the complex genome sequence of SCP-682, a notoriously resilient and adaptive anomaly. The task at hand was nigh—a complete whole genome analysis of SCP-682. Peppino had been assigned to unravel the genetic intricacies of this enigmatic creature, hoping to find potential vulnerabilities that could aid in its containment.
As time flew, Peppino became more restless, days became weeks. His desk cluttered with empty energy drinks, and empty cans of chewing tobacco (He had developed the nasty habit after a successful study with Executive F-150.)
During one of these restless nights, SCP-682 had breached the newly re-constructed Heavy Containment Zone. This tragic event led the deaths of many personnel, many of whom were close Colleagues.
While many would be heart-broken by such an event. Peppino's resolve was hardened. He crunched more hours, and more effort. The pile of Energy drinks spilt onto the floor. He WILL be the one who breaks SCP-682's genetic code, and will lead the path in it's destruction.
