What I am asking: Give more tailored setting options for us to edit surface UI (I.E surface mission popups).
Currently what we have, is giant text and health bars that cannot be edited to become smaller/bigger, more transparent/opaque, etc. We have a setting to turn them off and it does not function and that is it
Has it been suggested before?
I'm not quite sure, I guarantee it has at some point, the only way I could see my suggestion being different is more to give options for each individual to customize their preferences rather than making it a set thing, I understand that would be more intricate to implement, which is why I am not firm on the customization part, rather I would merely be happy with a couple changes to make them more friendly to my screen.
Benefits:
Allows players to change the opacity of surface mission pop ups, allowing for clearer visibility during combat. Something like a dropdown arrow in the corner of the objective box to collapse the mission incase the player wants to either A. Ignore the mission, or B: the player already knows the basis of the objective, this would be a nice quality of life change that could easily be implemented until further investment could be thrown into this issue.
Negatives:
A potential negative I can see this having, would be the time to implement it not being worthwhile enough, perhaps what I am suggesting may be too extreme, other than that though, I do believe there are easy, quick solutions to this problem until a more developed resolution can be created in the meantime.
Why should you accept this suggestion:
There's nothing more annoying than having half your vision, in a vital direction might I add due to the UI often blocking specific key areas in which the opposition normally rallies. Even if say some people do not find it a big enough issue, it's an issue to many, and should people wish for it to remain the same for them, they can do that, what I am asking will not affect you unless it is something you choose to implement yourself.
