Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I am applying for Executive Researcher because in recent days and weeks I have grown very fond of the Civil Gamers SCP RP server and I have especially grown fond of the Research Department. I immediately fell in love with the idea of crafting well formatted documents and was familiar with the lore. Not just this, but I have grown to enjoy hanging around and discussing random topics with people from the department, and I have decided that the only way for myself to progress in the most enjoyable manner on this server lies in the research department. A while back, say 1 or 2 years ago, I got really into SCP lore. I eventually stopped looking into SCP lore and got bored of it, why? Because I had no reason to continue to look into it. Now that I found the RP server, my drive to look into SCP lore has been re-invigorated. In perfect honesty, I re-found my love for SCP lore; and I really want to play a Garry's mod server following the idea of the SCP Foundation because I am an absolute nerd, and I am not afraid to admit it.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I am suitable for Executive Researcher for three reasons; one, I am quick to learn and in my time on the server playing actively, I have re-learned quite the amount of SCP lore, I have learned quite the bit of server rules, and I have learned the ins and outs of the server's Code of Ethics, and the Research Code of Conduct in a very short time. Two, I am willing and able to help Jr. Researchers, and Researchers with any problems that they might have, and have done so routinely since I was a Researcher. Lastly, I am suitable for the position of Executive Researcher because of my activity; for the past few weeks, I have been playing quite a lot and have logged onto the server for at least an hour just about every single day.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
To date I have Nine (9) excellent-graded documents.
In my experiences, an excellent document composes of:

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
To date I have Nine (9) excellent-graded documents.
In my experiences, an excellent document composes of:
- Creative title - The title needs to grab the attention of the reader and reasonably relate to the contents of the paper.
- Creative and ethical test idea - If your test idea is generic or unethical, it should not be considered excellent. Feeding D-Class to 173; despite well written documents, is not excellent quality work.
- Informative index - A page that documents exactly what is going to be on each of the other pages so the reader is informed.
- Well formatted style - Despite the annoyance of formatting documents to look nice, a good component of how the final product looks is the aesthetic element.
- Reasonable detail - If your research is too vague and doesn’t include sufficient information, that is not excellent quality work. Your document should have well rounded verbiage so that a reader might be able to internalize and picture what your document is being written about.
- Well filled out pages - Not caring enough to write out your document’s pages each past one or two sentences shows little effort. Each page should ideally be at least half filled out; this demonstrates effort.
- Lack of grammar mistakes - Excellent documents should not be plagued with simple and avoidable grammar mistakes.
- Collaboration with other researchers on the final product (most important one) - Demonstrating your ability to work with others isn’t something the person grading your document will see often, but others are often more keen than yourself at pointing out simple mistakes and making good suggestions. Good peer editing is very important to getting closer to an excellent document.
- Propper approval - If your test requires approval, get it from the correct individual. Testing on SCP-096 without prior approval is not allowed for example unless an Exec+ approves it.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
In roleplay the responsibilities of an Executive Researcher can be narrowed down to 4 general categories. One, oversight of tests; tests within the Foundation and in Site 65 need to be carefully thought out, reasonable, and most importantly ethical. One of the jobs of an Executive Researcher is to ensure the tests being conducted are ethical. And whilst said tests are being conducted, all codes of conduct applying to the participating researchers are followed to an appropriate extent. Two, grading papers; grading papers is not only important in roleplay, but important for the research department as a whole. If you papers aren't being graded, it demonstrates an inactive and unwilling team of Executive Researchers, whilst if you get papers back quick with good constructive feedback, this demonstrates a proactive Executive Researcher+ team. This also swings back to roleplay, because Jr. Researcher+ will attempt to get better grades on their papers, and do better research, just as long as valid feedback is returning back to them. Next is the mentorship of Jr. Researchers+, if Executive Researchers do not cultivate the researches of lower ranking researchers, nobody would have the drive to rank up in the department, simply because nobody would have a clue how anything works. If there is an individual willing to mentor those Junior. Researchers+, they would have a better experience in the department, and want to stay. Lastly, clearance level 4 personnel are valued members of the foundation and on top of this they are held to a significantly higher standard than anybody below them. One of the most important responsibilities of the Executive Researcher is setting an example for how to represent the Research Department.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
