What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I am one of the best candidates for Ethics Committee Assistant for three general reasons. One of the main driving factors that makes myself suitable for the role of Ethics Committee Assistant is because I am active on site. On a nearly daily basis I am actively participating in the running of the Research Department on-site, and with this comes the number of hours that I routinely put into doing so. This leads into the second factor making me a good candidate for Ethics Assistant: experience within an Ethical field. I will not lie, Research is not the easiest job in the world; shots must be called on Ethical standards daily. This occurs especially within the role of Executive Researcher, many times a day I have had to look at testing documents and make a call on weather or not they would be morally acceptable to be conducted. Usually the answer is yes, but because of my experience within my position I have also become accustomed to saying no when Ethical concerns are applicable. Throughout my time as a CL4 in the research department I have done my absolute best to ensure the pursuit of a higher understanding in anomalous studies in an ethical manner. Lastly, I acknowledge a large portion of taking on the responsibilities of an Ethics Assistant is the writing of requested reports for the Committee to review and make decisions on; because of my experiences in writing on Site-56 I have grown to become proficient in writing reports, and crafting documents.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
The role of the Ethics Committee is to decide and regulate what is and what isn't morally up to standards within the Foundation's mission statement, "Secure, Contain, Protect". Within the organization that is the Ethics Committee the role, "Assistant", is present. On-site the responsibilities of an Ethics Committee Assistant is found clearly within the name of the position. Being an Ethics Committee Assistant is to be an assistant to the EC. The job will compose of writing regular reports for the Ethics Committee, providing any kind of assistance to Ethics Members when requested without second thoughts. And doing whatever possible at your absolute best to ensure that the Code of Ethics is being correctly interpreted and followed by the staff on-site. Assistants within the Ethics Committee are to have a keen eye for Ethical Concerns and are to be proficient in making educated choices based off of the CoE. Overall, the ECA serves as a pair of second eyes for the Ethics Committee. The duties of an Ethics Assistant also extend to being a backup for members of the EC when they are not on-site.
