What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why: I am applying for the role of Ethics Committee member on SCP-RP USA. I am applying because Ethics do not participate in RP on the server anymore and when they do, it is typically just them standing around above med bay looking down upon those who want to speak to them and having anyone who gets near shot by their guards. That is not contusive to good RP. Ethics members should take an active interest in the role-play aspect of the server and not be mindless drones that barley speak.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?: Despite the hatred against me on the server, it is undeniable that I am one of the last true RP players on the server. I don't sample, I don't shoot, I just do testing and focus on making Research and the server as fun as possible. I document my findings and only produce the best documents (27 out of 27 perfect documents). The Ethics members are, in some ways, a barrier to high level testing but I don't want to be the one to stop true RP. While there are rules to follow, rules are meant to be pushed and maybe broken in the pursuit of science and true prosperity for the server. We are not just mindless zombies who order people to be shot. We are a Foundation of creative minds in pursuit of an outlet for our craft.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?: The Ethics committee is responsible for ensuring the ethical practices set in place for testing and class D treatment are followed throughout the facility. Should a step out of line be taken, the Ethics committee is responsible for punishments and dismissal of duties in regards to those who broke the rules. They are in charge of Omega-1 and direct them at will. The Ethics are responsible for ensuring proper RP is followed on the server. They also are able to sign and approve documents for testing, medical and sampling. They also have say over AA and when a Code Black is called.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?): They vote on the Director of ISD, They vote on Ethical rulings and debates. They also answer to the people of the server and address their needs.

The character of Robert 'Tomato' Peterson is known for his unusual yet always charming testing. SCP-682 and Tomato have grown to respect each others work over the time they have tested together and despite their differences (Tomato being a human and SCP-682 being an evil lizard) they have yet to come to any real blows in the foundation. This, coupled with Tomato's unusual style of testing that asks "what gets results", has resulted in many strange and wacky tests. At the heart of it all, I want to foster RP growth because that is desperately failing on the server at this time. Research is at an all time low, and I will be stepping in to oversee the branch and assist it in getting back on its feet. Research does not need to be as hard-ass as it currently is. Yes there needs to be some standards in place but you shouldn't need to present 3 forms of identification and wait 6 days for approval to see what type of candy SCP-999 likes the best. Research should be that, Research. Right now it is arbitrary rules and construct that is designed by people who never wrote a single document or conducted a single study. All they know is shooting and sampling. How can gun crazed members of the site have any clue what it takes to be a active member of an RP server when they themselves don't actually know what RP is? The heart and soul of this server is the Research and discoveries made along the way, and I have proven over the course of over 3 years that I am more than up for the challenge of providing proper RP.
Side note, I was permitted to be an O5 for a few hours a few months ago and would you like to know what I did? I gathered Research together, lowered testing restrictions, and said "go nuts". Research boomed for a week and many quality documents were produced and fun was had everywhere. THAT is what the server is about. If I wanted to shoot people, I'd play Battlefield.
