E-11 CSG (holding and held it before once), DEA Senior Agent (held)

None.

Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
Since I started playing research, I have had fun with it and the people within research are great. The roleplay during testing and writing documents is very enjoyable and makes playing on the server much better in my experience. With the role of Executive Researcher, I could help other Researchers with their problems and hope to not only raise the quality of testing and documentation but to make Research fun for other people. Being an Executive Researcher also means more possibilities in terms of testing and roleplaying. In this way, I can further my contribution towards research and improve my own qualities in terms of testing and roleplay.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
Being in E-11 already gives the know-how on how to conduct a test and what goal it should have. I always give it my best when it comes to testing, the roleplay and documentation, while trying to give it something unique everytime. Documentation is where most of my fun comes from in Research and where my strength lies in as I’m always looking to incorporate some real-life knowledge into those documents. Before considering doing a test, I always make sure that the document is as good as possible which also applies to uploading it. I like helping other people whenever I can and that also applies to research where I want to help Researchers with their problems.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I wrote 3 excellent documents about 323, 409 and 9000 and uploaded a fourth document about 082 that needs to be graded. An excellent document needs not only a good and clear structure but a certain amount of realism in a world full of abnormalities which makes it much more relating and interesting. The document should contain non-relevant information as little as possible to keep it from drifting too far away from the actual topic and be creative.

What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Executive Researcher are responsible to teach new researchers how to properly conduct tests and write documents. They ensure that the standard of quality is uphold, approve documents and grade them if uploaded to the SCIPNET. Through this they can give feedback on the document and what can be improved. Further they still do research of their own with the possibility of testing on highly-classified CL4 SCPs and debrief Senior Researchers on those SCPs if requested. Those tests are also supervised by an Executive Researcher which is another area of responsibility for them. Executive Researchers are the face of the Research Department in the absence of the Department Directors and thus must make sure the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct are being followed by other researchers.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Ryan Stekken was a chemist before he joined the Foundation. Most of his work focused on finding new reactions which could be used in the chemical industry. An incident at his university got the attention from the Foundation which involved a crystal turning others, including some of his coworkers, into crystals themselves. After being interrogated about the incident, he was left with a choice: live a new life but forget his old one or join the Foundation. Ryan chose the latter.

His new time in the foundation was mixed at first. A lot of time he spent adjusting to the new environment, to the existence of the abnormal and usage of humans for experiments. He thought about quitting at first but decided to continue. After two months, he found himself comfortable with his new job and grew to like it. His research on chemistry was not remarkable but still solid, which was rewarded with a transfer to Site-65. There, Ryan began to study the effects samples from a variety of SCPs can have on different substances and what properties mixtures of these contain. More recent activities suggest a switch into the more psychological side of research where he conducted intellectual exams on multiple SCPs in a way to figure out how they think and behave.

Currently, Ryan is furthering his work on chemicals and their effects to make sure that an incident like at his university does not happen again. The psychological side of people always interested him which only intensified when he joined the Foundation where he looks towards conducting research on exploring the psychology of SCPs especially their intelligence.
