Why are you applying for Security Captain?
- I've enjoyed my tenure in GSD and I wish to move forward in General Security and work closer with my fellow leadership members, site staff, and other departments. GSD was a department I felt an attachment to before getting to Sergeant, it has a massive potential and that falls onto the leadership to help encourage others into making the most of it. I want to make more out of my leadership ability and skillset than I could as a Sergeant, as well as give input and ideas for changes regarding general security and their policies.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
- Through my time as Security Sergeant, I've led and organized successful sweeps into D-Block, led teams responding to Code 1s and Code 5s, trained and taught security members, even trained site staff for weapon permits. I have experienced new scenarios and improved in ways I was not aware I could have prior, I have grown exceptionally with my leadership and activity. I've learned how to properly handle situations I have not previously encountered and how to respond when those plans fail.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
- Host RCL and HWL tryouts, Lead and coordinate sweeps, Create internal RP for general security, Maintaining healthy relations with other departments, Issue and manage D-class permits, Leading D-Block operations, Managing and Training GSD staff. Assisting security members with any questions they may have, encouraging and helping cadets in order to pass their test, and ensuring smooth D-block operations.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Seymour Westheimer started out as armed security at an event venue, After his rough start being handed this opportunity felt like his golden ticket. He had worked the gig for almost 3 months and just started that he had most things under control, since most days everything went according to plan. One day just after shift change an extremist group consisting a reality bender and his followers sieged the currently staged art exhibit, claiming they were "cleansing" the land from illusion. They blew through the south wall of the venue, smoke and debris filling the air while people shouted and ran over each other. He made quick work of three of the gunmen before more explosions went off In the mayhem an art piece collapsed on top of Seymour, he could do nothing but struggle against the weight before passing out from panic. The attack that day claimed 194 lives. Majority of Seymour's coworkers didn't survive the attack. Distraught and filled with grief, he travelled by catching trains and hitchhiking. 6 Months later he found a job opening, and 3 weeks after that he began his new life at Site-65.
