Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I am applying for executive researcher for many reasons, but for time I'll only list a few. First, and most important, research is the most fun thing to do in this server. When I started playing, I was always trying to make the best tests possible (although i did not know about uploading docs) with lots of research value. Research is like a 'mini-gamemaster', with the ability to make fun experiences for Gensec, Class-D, E-11, SCPs, and more. Research has allowed me to use creativity which is always something i've found fun. Speaking of making fun experiences for other jobs, my second reason is that Research is the most important department in the server. It creates experiences for nearly EVERY job, Gensec, class d, CI, e-11, scps, possibly nu-7, site command, ethics, and many many more. Being in a position where I can improve and manage this extremely important department is one of my greatest goals in the server. However, some people don't understand this. This leads into my third reason; people only messing around as a researcher. As an executive, I can help said researchers create great documents and rise up in the department, creating fun experiences for the server.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?
I believe I'm suitable for executive researcher for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, I know how to create fun and interesting tests and always want to do this to give people fun experiences. My creativity, my second reason, also helps greatly in creating said experiments as I have been told by many people that my experiments, even though some have been fairly short and simple, are always fun and engaging experiences that have RP potential. I use my skills in creating these tests to assist other, newer researchers in creating and developing research ideas, which is my third reason that makes me a good candidate for executive. I am approachable and always willing to help newer researchers with anything whether it be test procedures, escorting them for a test above their clearance, or answering questions. Fourth, I am always looking for ways to approve. I have shown this since I started improving my reputation of previously being a minge, showing my dedication to improving myself as much as possible as I believe I have greatly improved. And lastly, I believe I am skilled at writing docs, which I will explain further in the next paragraph.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
So far I've written ~4-6 excellent docs (cant check the exact number). An excellent document needs to be organized and contain good content. I use a format I found on a research corkboard which has gotten me lots of appraisal and excellent gradings. I will describe the entire document format in detail here.

Page 1 - Index
This page is a table of contents that contains the rest of the document's content and serves as an introductory page. This page does not have much depth to it.

Screenshot 2022-10-11 190751.png

Page 2/3 - Background Info - This page, first off, does not always have to be 2/3, it can be as short or long as needed. Generally, the background info will contain information about what SCPs are being tested, and if they are part of a specific research project what the project is and what has been found so far in the project.

Page 4 - Aim - This is a very important part of the document as it describes WHY the test is being done/the goal information attempting to be acquired. This part of the document will be important for the fifth page, the Method page, as well as the conclusion.

Page 5 - Method - The method of the test describes how the aim of the test will be reached/acquired. This is important as it will also detail safety procedures that are required in the test for it to go smoothly and safely.

Page 6 - Participants - This is a minor page. It details all personnel/units that will need to be present for the test as well as any signatures from executive+ or ethics committee.

Page 7 - Hypothesis - This is important but not very long. It is an important piece in the conclusion and may also fortify a reason for the test being done. In my experiences the hypothesis got a test that likely would not have been approved, approved.

Page 8- Findings - Findings page is responsible for holding raw information of the test. In interviews, it may consist of:
Person 1: Dialouge
Person 2: Dialouge
*Action

But in a test such as seeing if cognitohazards effect those wearing SCP-714, it may instead be:
D-1234 wears SCP-714 and views the cognitohazard. D-1234 does not show being effected at all.

It's contents depend on what the test is.

Page 9 - Conclusion

This is a summarized compiled area that details what happened in the test, if the test was successful, if the aim was reached, any new information acquired, if the hypothesis was correct, and what could be done better next time. This is important to include as not everyone will have the time to read through a possibly 5 page long findings page, instead opting to read the 2 page conclusion.

This is not all that goes into an excellent document. Excellent documents also include:
Proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.
Actual information being gained from the test (You can fit a sample test into this format and that won’t mean it’s excellent.)
Tone (The tone should feel clinical/professional, not like you’re writing a text/message to a friend)
Ethics (The test needs to stay ethical, procedures in findings section should be same as in methods section and should be done ETHICALLY this is very important to not put bad look on the department)

This, from my experience (although limited) is how to produce an excellent document.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Accessing personnel file 65-RESEARCH:
CLEARANCE LEVEL [3] REQUIRED.
Name: Stee Ven
Birthdate: 2002
Birthplace: Three Portlands

Early Life:
Stee Ven lived a fairly standard life of a child in the three portlands. He was proficient in thaumaturgy and disliked organizations such as the Foundation and UNGOC.

CLEARANCE LEVEL [4] REQUIRED TO VIEW THE FOLLOWING. PLEASE NOTE BY UNANIMOUS VOTE BY THE ETHICS COMMITTEE PROTOCOL 321-LOYALTY MAY NOT BE USED.
Stee Ven had been displaced after the Undeground War of the Portlands, forced to move into Oregon to avoid being killed for supporting the Serpent's Hand’s efforts. Stee Ven lead numerous attacks on the Foundation, stealing several animate type green/blue reality benders.
During a raid on Site-65, Stee Ven was captured by the Intelligence Agency and Protcol-321-Loyalty was enacted.

MTF Sigma-66 ‘Sixteen Tons’
Stee Ven was a thaumaturgic expert kept in check my multiple Conduits. Stee Ven was given various experimental drugs and psychological torture was used to build loyalty to the Foundation. The protocol was successful as Stee Ven went from a highly dangerous and resistant individual nearing SCP classification, to a loyal thaumaturgic for the Foundation. Stee Ven was released from Sigma-66 and given amnestics to forget his past in the Serpent’s Hand and Sigma-66.

Site-81

Stee Ven was sent to thaumaturgic containment site 81 as a Junior Researcher. After the Chaos Insurgency’s raid that caused a successful warhead detonation, Stee Ven was forced to relocate to Site-65.

Site-65, 7/30/22

During a raid, on the same day Stee Ven was captured by chaos insurgents where he was given memory restoring anomalous drugs, partly making him remember his violent anti Foundation goals. For Stee Ven’s following months on site, he would do various reckless acts such as slapping site inspectors, throwing food at people, and using stolen documents to release classified information repeatedly, landing him in IA and being reprimanded severely.

More amnestics were given over time and his behavior improved. He began creating better tests that had greater value earning him a senior researcher promotion. At this point, IA has not had to arrest Stee Ven in a very long time.

Gamma-1

Stee Ven joined the Gamma-1 research team alongside the 4 others that passed the tryout. They assisted with researching and stabilizing various things and researching extra dimensional entities.

Stee Ven should definitely be an Executive as he is very friendly and easy to approach. He has (almost) no warns and one of the best people I have seen in the research team so I would love to see him become a CL4.
