For how long have you played on CG SCP: Coming up on 3 months
Age: 26
In what country are you located?: United States
Time zone: cdt
Character name(s): Thomas "Goldblood" Aurelius ("Goldblood" ingame)
Civilian name: Augustus Goldblood
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
- Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- N/A (currently a subregiment COM but I'm sure that doesn't apply here)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- I have recieved a warning for NLR and RDM over a month ago. Also a warning for combat jumping as 323 due to not understanding the rule against it.
Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
- I was recommended to apply by a few of my friends in the server and I think it is about time I get some Cl4 experience under my belt. I almost exclusively play Combat Medic and have made my way up through the MTF subregiment HH-3 from PVT all the way to the COM rank. I believe I have acquired the experience and professionalism needed to apply for this role.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
- I know the ins and outs of the medical department (EST procedure, bone fracture healing, illness curing, etc). I know and have made friends with most of the current medical consultants. I try to play on a daily basis and believe I have accrued the experience I need to become a Consultant. Plus I would love to contribute to the further development of the medical department.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- How to cure in-game illnesses. You first ask the patient to follow you to the medical lab and have them lay down in the infection scanner. If the player is infected with an illness (I.E. Influenza), you must make the drug corresponding to that illness. to create the cure for Influenza, You must first create Ibuprofen. The recipe for Ibuprofen in-game is Propionic Acid and Salicyclic Acid mixed in a beaker and heated over a bunsen burner. After creating the Ibuprofen, you then purchase some Anhydride from the chemical merchant (Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz). You must then mix the Ibuprofen and the Anhydride into either a normal or large beaker to create a reaction that results in Oseltamivir Phosphate. The cure for influenza. I like to keep some on hand at all times to save time. You must then administer at least 100 mL of Oseltamivir Phosphate by injestion from a vial, injection vial, beaker, or conical flask to cure the influenza in the patient. After the patient has injested the Oseltamivir Phosphate, you ask them to lay down in the infection scanner to confirm that they are no longer infected with Influenza. After confirmation, the patient is free to go about their business.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- Medical Consultants provide leadership and stability to the Medical Department, ensuring that all medical personell are adhering to the utmost professionalism and uphold the Code of Ethics. The Medical Consultants must help the medical department in whatever affairs that are needed of them involving the medical department. From curing patients of illnesses, healing bone fractures, administering EST, etc. Additional tasks assigned to medical consultants include giving tests for medical licenses (as well as revoking medical licenses should the need arise for breaking the code of ethics or the legal Codex) to those trainees that have reached support level 10 or above and have asked for a medical license test. Consultants are also available to give advice to those medical personnel that are in need of help finding their way within the medical department. Consultants are also given the ability to perform high clearance surguries and provide psychological evaluations to CL4+ personnel.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- My character had been visited by the spirit of the mythical King Midas at a young age, whose curse of the golden touch had faded (but not fully) by that time. As a result, Thomas' blood had been cursed to convert all iron within into gold. This phenomenon was noticed during a regular medical checkup as a child and caught the attention of the SCP foundation. The foundation kept and eye on Thomas' upbringing, noticing that his physcal abilities and intelligence far exceeded that of his peers. Thomas had found himself interested in pursuing a career in the medical field from his early teenage years and pursued his PhD as a medical doctor after finishing his Undergraduate schooling. Upon obtaining his PhD, he was contacted and recruited by the SCP foundation as a medical trainee. He excelled at the role and shortly after gained his foundation medical license. He went on to become a Combat Medic due to his physical prowess and interest in helping the foundation combat any threats to it and especially to the medical department. This caught the attention of the then Commander of HH-3, who then gave him a tryout to join the subregiment. He passed his tryout with flying colors and became an HH-3 Combat Medic operative. He rose his way through the ranks of HH-3, being promoted to Specialist, then to Sergeant within weeks of his tryouts. after being promoted to Command Sergeant, He was approached by his Commander and the Organizer of HH-3 asking if he would be opposed to the opportunity to gain a command rank within HH-3. After enthusiastically accepting the promotion, he was promoted to be HH-3's Lieutenant Commander. After some time, The then Commander of HH-3 resigned from his post due to outside influences outside of his or the foundation's control. Thomas graciously accepted the Command of HH-3 and proudly served the foundation Medical Department as its leading Combat Medic. Thomas is ready to take the next step in his fruitful career with the SCP foundation Medical Department. Dr. Thomas "Goldblood" Aurelius looks forward to serving the Foundation as its newest (and hopefully brightest) Medical Consultant and future Organizer of HH-3.
