What O5 role are you applying for, and why (give the specific O5 number):
I am applying for the position of O5-4 "The Fallout". Joining the council has been one of my goals ever since joining ISD over a year ago. I have spent over 90% of my time in ISD and the experience I've gained during this time has allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the protocols, regulations, and their enforcement in Site-65. This opportunity would allow me to apply the foundation of knowledge I have acquired during my stay concerning things such as legal compliance, departmental oversight, purging corruption and assisting in enhancing roleplay opportunities.
I'm choosing the alias "The Fallout" because spending over a year in Internal Security has taught me that the real challenge is not arresting site staff for FLC, CoE or CoC violations, but managing the operational aftermath when things do inevitably collapse. This position would allow me to expand upon everything I have learned during my tenure so far, while at the same time giving me the opportunity to continue learning and improving. I intend to work closely with Site Administration to aid in bridging any gaps between departmental oversight and day-to-day site operations. I hope that together we can focus on handling the fallout of departmental stagnation and departmental relations, keeping the CoC up to date and weeding out any corruption. Essentially, my main goal is to use my position to assist people in any way I can with interesting roleplay opportunities, help to refine site legal compliance and conduct, and ensure that when another crisis inevitably strikes Site-65, the Foundation will stand strong and unshakeable.

What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:
Like I stated previously, my experience after spending over a year in ISD has granted me unique experience and outlook of how Site-65 functions as a whole. I understand the way major or minor changes can influence the site or an entire department in a positive or negative manner. There has to be a lot of consideration when making any changes, as they can impact daily operations and also ruin roleplay opportunities, department health, and fester bad blood between people and departments when conducted in the wrong manner. As DoISD, Johnny and I have worked hard to make sure all changes we've made are for the better of the department without causing negative backlash from our members. I assisted Site Administration with adding more context and closing legal hoops for some FLC charges and took part in helping another SA member flesh out punishment types and classes for Employee Hearing Guidelines but unfortunately they left and it was never put to use. I also helped other departments in setting rules and regulations for their respective department or sub-regiment policies such as Research and General Security.
I consider myself to be a thoughtful, supportive leader that relishes in helping people and upholding morality at all times. I have always done my best to make myself more approachable so that when somebody needs help they do not hesitate to reach out. I also strive be the rock that people can lean on when things get tough and they need guidance. Site stability starts from the roots of every department, their mutual understanding, and each department is most powerful when every member feels like they matter, that they are heard and valued. I used to be the FTE Commissioner in ISD and I dealt with making sure our training material were up to date, I also helped train and mentor our leadership. I would love to be the person who can assist in fostering good server health, via guidance and close work with Site Administration. If we focus on personal development and open communication, we can eliminate a lot of stagnation, lower friction between departments and build a non-toxic community where players are motivated to roleplay together.
I am fair and don't take sides blindly. I listen to all personnel involved, whether it be internal or external conflicts, before making any judgement. I own up to any mistakes I make. Mistakes make us human but not letting them define you and learning from them instead is what's most important. I'd like for people to see mistakes as a learning opportunity and also prioritize teamwork and other people's well-being over their own agenda. I would be dedicated in instilling this mindset in the entirety of Site-65.
ISD has had quite a few bumps concerning our relations with other departments, however we have mended a lot of these and fostered neutral or good relations instead. I would like to expand this to the entirety of Site-65. The Foundation is in it's most optimal state when all departments work in unison and becoming a well oiled machine is what we should aspire to be.
