Why are you applying for Security Captain?
-
I'm applying for security captain because I feel as there are not enough captains online late nights EST time. A lot of times I have been on late nights Gensec is lacking in numbers and especially in higher ranking numbers. I can be one to fill that vacancy when needed, as I'm online late nights EST as well as other times. Another reason I am applying for captain is because Dblock is where I have had the most fun and the most laughs playing CG-SCP. I enjoy interacting with new players and foundation staff, as well as helping show them the ropes. I have seen a lot of Gensec who don't know what to do in certain situations and just kill dclass for no reason, unaware of their mistakes. Those Gensec stem from improper teachings and from other higher ranking Gensec not correctly showing the new players how we do things. As a captain, I will strive to make sure every member of my team that has a question or feels they need help with procedures, etc., will be assisted to the best of my ability; as to hopefully pass on those teachings to the next cadets that follow.

What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
-
I believe I am suitable for Security Captain based off of my experience and my approach to situations. When it comes to experience, as mentioned, I've been playing on this server for a little over a month now. And during that time, majority of it has been spent as Riot Sergeant. Over that time I have been under orders from many different captains and have partaken in many different security situations. I believe I am well versed in combat, riot control, sweeping, de-escalating, and many more attributes associated with the position. As well as past experience in team management IRL. Successfully managing multiple teams of 15+ members each simultaneously for many months.
My approach to situations differs from the mindset of a lot of Gensec. I believe in conversing with players and understanding what their situation is. I like to let players have a chance to actually role play and have fun without being terminated immediately with a quick warning. Too many times I have seen Gensec kill hungry and not even considering how the other player's experience was affected by their greed. I will always put the safety of my team first, without compromising the rp of those around us.

What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
-
The responsibilities of a Security Captain consist of leading the GenSec, organizing and operating sweeps, maintaining a smooth and functioning Dblock, ensuring that those under him/her understand their duties and overall protection of his/her team. When no code is present Captain should be checking up on GenSec and ensuring everybody is fulfilling their responsibilities correctly and in the right position. Asking questions and inquiring any of their team's questions. When a code 2 is called the Captain should round up GenSec in an orderly fashion and along with RRT, instruct, organize and carry out a sweep with GenSec. Captain must ensure every member partaking is well versed in their roles and responsibilities during the sweep. During a containment breach, Captains should be contacting E-11 and assisting in anyway needed along with RRT. During a code black, Captains should be keeping Dblock on lock and ensuring foundation personnel are being escorted to safety. Outside of Dblock, a Captain's job is to hold trainings for Gensec. During these trainings a captain must be methodical and diligent, not to waste any of your teams time and ensuring everybody has a fair chance and is aware of their resources.

Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
-
Riot Sergeant Trap Jesus started with humble beginnings. He was born in a trap house out Murda Mount, NC. Due to his area of upbringing, at a young age he dwelled in many illegal activities; including scamming, petty robberies, etc. but where he really shined was trappin'. He got so good at it, all the junkies started to call him "Trap Jesus". He quickly claimed the name as his own and grew in his expedition of drug selling. After many years of being in the streets, Trap gained few allies but many enemies. He had opps at every corner, leaving Trap with a constant feeling of anxiety and alertness of his surroundings. Overtime this constant alertness and as we say "being bout that action" Trap honed his combat skills; both hand to hand and with firearms. Some say its impossible to catch him lacking. Those that have tried, got rolled up. But as most stories conclude involving the streets, jail was imminent. And so, Trap got locked up. He was sent to death row for many felony charges along with attempted murder of an inmate and eventually was relocated to site-65 by [REDACTED] soon finding his new home at Dblock. After narrowly surviving his 30 days as a Dclass, Trap was freed and promoted to a cadet for showing great leadership qualities, resourcefulness and combat prowess. From there, Trap made his way through the ranks. All leading up to where he is today.

  • Trap has been a massive help to me in the past, I have been able to leave D-Block to him and without fail I come back to it in great shape.
  • He is an excellent leader, if given the push to take initiative. I think given the position he would flourish.
  • This application is well constructed and easily understood. Good grasp on grammar, punctuation and so on.
  • Our schedules coincide mostly early in my day, since I am usually on throughout the night. The hours he'd cover would be excellent relative to what I cover at night.
  • The few mistakes I have seen him make, he realizes and corrects on his own. Excellent to see in a potential CPT.
