Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
I am applying for Site Advisor because I love creating improvements and efficiencies that can help others do their jobs to the best of their abilities. I have held a very long tenure on this site, on and off, over the years. I've seen policy, jobs, and entire sectors come and go. I want to utilize all I have learned about quelling the chaos in GSD across the entire site, along with my unique viewpoint of how site has morphed over the years, to make a place where all of the departments can truly work together and become stronger than the sum of its parts. I would also like to help create a site worth being on. While paperwork and beurocracy is incredibly fun, everyone on site experiences it in a different and unique way. I hope to use all my knowledge and abilities to work with other RP leaders to create a site that everyone can truly enjoy.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?
While I have been on the server for a long time, where I truly stand out is my insatiable appetite for responsibility, my ability to pull off my ideas, and having no fear of failure. Ask any of my previous superiors and they would all tell you the same thing, I always take the initiative. From anything as simple yet important to document and roster work, to the grandest of goals like reworking training documents and creating subdivisions, I am always on the lookout to make sure my plate is full. I do not enjoy just coasting by and appearing busy. Throughout the years I have created the framework for many successful subdivisions, both in GSD and beyond. Helping make AXO for GSD, an elite training program that spurred what I believe to be the true golden age of GENSEC, to the dedicated relations hub of the GOC in The Consulate. My ideas and especially the execution of those ideas have shaped their respetive factions and regiments for the better. What I believe to be truly my most important quality though is not having a fear of failure. Creating ideas, showing them off, refining them, scrapping them. Its all part of the joy that comes with creating something good. Not every idea will be usable, but any idea could be the one that produces real change.
On a more meta side, my experience as an SGM speaks for itself. I understand what it takes to create a good roleplay environment for the inhabitants of this server. Through a plethora of SCP events, convoluted storylines, and the wonderful Green Oil, I have showcased and pushed my creative abilities to the edge. I want to use this knowledge of mine to create not just an efficient site, but an enjoyable one to be on. Finding the balance between these things will be key, and I believe that my time as a GM/SGM has given me insight to do so.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?
The main responsibilites of SA include but are not limited to:
Choosing new Department Heads/MTF Commanders
Keeping control of site through AA, GOI assistance, and ERT
Overseeing their assigned department:
- Tending to issues within said department when needed
- Managing strenuous relations with other departments before things get out of hand
- Ensuring everyone is following the codes and policies set in place by Site Admin/Command
