Why are you applying for Director of External Affairs?:
I am applying for the position of DoEA because DEA is my forever home on the server. When I started playing on the server a little over a year ago, DEA was where I began and progressed the most because I simply love the department as a whole. From their gameplay loop on the server to the people within it, and everything in between, DEA has always stood out to me. In my definitely not biased opinion, DEA is the best group on the server, and I believe this is due to the dedicated people who run it. Less than a year ago, I was allowed to become the Deputy Director of DEA, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in that position. Even after returning and being allowed to be within DEA's Senior Leadership as a manager, I still love everything about it. I genuinely want to see DEA thrive on the server, and I believe I am someone who can help make that a reality.
What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
I believe I'm a suitable candidate for the Director of External Affairs for a multitude of reasons. During my entire time in DEA leadership, I have overhauled the DEA Google Drive, driven departmental improvements, and enhanced the overall performance of DEA on the server. My diverse experience within the server uniquely positions me to understand aspects that other candidates might not. By involving myself in every aspect of the server, I have sharpened my decision-making skills, equipping me to handle situations I might face as a Director.
I have consistently maintained professionalism and effectiveness in every position I've held on the server. Despite challenges, I have continued to perform my duties efficiently, working well with the current management team and adapting to changes that occurred during my time away. My contributions to DEA include creating and updating crucial documents, implementing new policies and systems, and overseeing punishments, all of which demonstrate my ability to handle the responsibilities of a director.
One of my biggest things as a leader is I try to be as approachable as possible, I excel in communicating effectively both in and outside DEA. My approach to problem-solving and commitment to roleplay further strengthen my suitability for the Director position. During my previous time as Deputy Director and Manager, I drove significant changes, such as roster improvements, handbook updates, and updated testing both at the senior and junior level, while actively teaching special agents who contribute to the department's health to eventually become Managers. Since returning to DEA leadership, I have already updated and created new documents to improve the department and have been actively trying to better the department as a whole. I strive to enhance the experience our members have by providing them with engaging activities and support.
In summary, I have and will continue to dedicate myself to DEA, regardless of whether I am allowed to return as Director. I am committed to continuing the upward trajectory DEA is on, and my extensive experience, professionalism, and commitment to excellence make me a strong candidate for the Director of External Affairs.
I also want to address a potential concern regarding my application for the Director position. At the time of posting this application, I have only been in the Manager position for four days. However, I do not believe this to be as significant an issue as some might think. If you are familiar with the ins and outs of DEA, you will know that little has changed within the department since I was last involved. I have dedicated considerable time to understanding the recent changes and am fully confident in my knowledge and abilities relating to DEA. I appreciate all feedback.

Please give some lore about your Director of External Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Shifty Powers wasn't like the others. Even in the DEA, where elite was the standard, he stood out. Known as "Diff" due to his unparalleled ability to differentiate between reality and illusion, he became the go-to agent in complex cases. But when his last major drug bust intersected with the mysterious realm of the SCP Foundation, Diff's world shifted. Suddenly, he wasn't just chasing cartels but also grappling with entities beyond comprehension. Joining forces with the Foundation, Diff's analytical skills proved invaluable. His keen intuition and street smarts enabled him to decipher the underworld's cryptic connections to SCP anomalies. His reputation was tested when a novel drug granting users anomalous abilities hit the streets. Diving into the underbelly of the criminal world, Diff discovered that this drug's potency came from the essence of an SCP entity. Balancing his duties as a DEA agent and his role within the SCP Foundation, Diff became a bridge between tangible crime and the inexplicable. His groundbreaking work culminated in taking down the syndicate behind the drug and securing the entity from further exploitation.
Shifty Powers, known as "Diff," ascended to the rank of Deputy Director of the DEA after his notable collaborations with the SCP Foundation. However, his deep involvement with SCP entities took a dangerous turn when one of them began hunting him. Forced into hiding, Diff's life transformed into a game of survival and cunning. Harnessing his exceptional skills and knowledge of both the criminal and anomalous worlds, he managed to track down and eliminate the SCP threat. This bold action marked his cautious return to the DEA, where he now continues to work his way back through the ranks, rebuilding his career and reputation under the shadow of his past confrontations with the inexplicable.
Recently, there has been a significant development: Shifty Powers has been promoted to Manager within the DEA once again. This promotion recognizes his exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication. As Manager, Diff has now taken up a different codename: he is now known as "Vulcan." This name change was inspired by a recent encounter where he single-handedly defeated a type of fire anomaly. In honor of this achievement, he chose the name Vulcan, after the ancient god of fire. In his new role, Vulcan has the authority and resources to further bridge the gap between the DEA and the SCP Foundation, ensuring that both organizations can collaborate more effectively against threats that straddle the line between the criminal and the anomalous.
