I have been in ISD for a while now I have been a member of ISD leadership since 6/11/2025 and even before that I was an agent since 11/1/2024. ISD has always been my department and that is my main reason for applying. But to be honest that isn't the whole reason. I have noticed in recent months ISD falling into a trap of inactivity and lack of leadership. Stuff has been done to try and counteract this but what I propose is some changes that don't push farther into making it seem like an actual job. I have noticed that it needs to be balanced and I want to make it so instead of forcing people to get on, I want to make it so people enjoy when they can get on. This would be done through a series of changes expanding cooperation between departments which I am seeing a lack of. As commissioner I have proposed alot of these ideas but if this gets accepted I will implement those. I will strive for making ISD more than the fun police or feeling like a burden to get on. I wish to restore a balance.

Another Reason why I am applying other than just changing ISD is I personally think I am the best fit. I will go into this more on the next section but I have been by far the most active ISD leadership and have had the most isd leadership activities for awhile. Additionally I as the IO commissioner have made a lot of operations which previous commissioners have neglected. For these reasons I plan to continue this pathway helping ISD where needed.

As mentioned in the last section I have preformed some pretty good leadership during my time. IO commissioner was probably the most time consuming team to take but I stay as this for the simple reason of I don’t think anyone else could. While I may not have been a commissioner as long as maybe the other candidates but I say to that during my time I have shown more than others in their whole time. My leadership within isd as a commissioner has been short but quite eventful. I can’t go in depth into my work on a public form like this but I have been managing around 15 operations as commissioner. I have been the only person doing this and I believe this shows my dedication to ISD. I would also like to mention my expirence in other positions. I have been in and out of different positions but my time in GOC has helped me with RP. I am currently an ambassador and have held multiple meetings and I hope to use these new skills on ISD.

Over all I think I am fit because of me actually preforming my leadership duties and my experience. With me as IO commissioner I think I have made a ton of progress with our operations division. A key theme of my work is me listening to people, I have been a leader for alot of isd where people go to me for things.

-Relations
-Management of all ISD below
-Managing applications for inspector
-Deciding new commissioners
-Authorizing audits on medical
-Help with the cover story of LE reporting to director of ISD
-Creates policies and assists in feedback for policies site wide
-As highest ranking ISD, should be a role model for other ISD and how they act
-Mandate psychological evaluations

In general responsibilities relating to the position of director are much higher than alot of other positions. Directors should go above and beyond with managing ISD. Reporting directly to ethics

Without going into too much detail my Walter Smith character will not be around much longer as I have plans for replacement cough cough HOWEVER I am still going to write some short lore.

Following the death of the man known for his hair, Walter Smith was placed in the position of Inspector. He was transferred from the position of Investigator working on operations. He was your average ISD before the Incident involving ISD Inspector 'Advil' Smith. He was a witness to the execution and that changed him. Ever since that day he secretly had a extreme hatred to all techies. "They are all the same, criminals with no sign on stopping" he would say to people. People around him during the time noticed situations in which tech experts would feel disturbed in his presence. He continued his secret hatred onto his promotion to commissioner. He directly managed operations while still keeping a eye on his secondary goal. In the back of his mind he needs to bring back someone the techies hated. He needed to bring back someone who could do something about the techies... They have ruled site for too long and he needed to put a stop to it... Possibly bring someone back. This is at the top of his mind constantly

Biggest redemption arc ive ever seen.
One of the best ISD for almost a year at this point.
Very active, friendly, great RPer, approachable, takes initiative and naturally includes low CL personnel in day to day RP.
Thanks for the kind words means alot. I started from the bottom so I naturally try to include people in the position where I was lol

Pretty chill guy, good commissioner.

He has no mic, which can be set backs to his duties as a director.
I’ll respond to this too as you bring up a good point. This is an issue for me probably yes but I have worked around it, I have literally had tech experts be a TTS service when I prosecuted during tribunals. I find my way around it when I can and I have binds for a lot of situations.

Also generally I am more of a mysterious character anyways in character as the head of operations

I recall when Advil Smith was getting recruited to Agent before my hiatus while I was an agent myself, returning to Walter Smith was strange to see; It took me a couple of days to realize it was the same player.
It is of my opinion that Walter Smith is the type of person that seemingly has the capability to be Internal Security Department Director. As the interactions I've had with Walter Smith as Commissioner have been positive.

I mean this in the nicest way, but I simply don't fully trust you. I have had experiences with you trying to arrest me for completely legal D-Class kill and that's left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe DoISD will fully get you in shape and you'll do great

Walter spoke to me in private and I am willing to place my trust in him to be a DoISD and see how he does. Make me proud Walter
