What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition:
I can bring much RP that is detail oriented as well as gameplay loops based on personnel and ongoing situations via diplomacy, strategy, and creativity. My main focus will be on ensuring that there is some form of consistent RP going on based on current/ongoing storylines as well as player oriented storylines within the GOC. My secondary goal will be to ensure the smooth operation of the UNGOC by assisting wherever and whenever possible to aid in the creation of new RP scenarios as well as new documentation/formats for the UNGOC to the best of my ability. Third, I would like to bring in more order and structure to the UNGOC to the best of my ability. My strategy that I would use that I believe the UNGOC needs is negotiations/diplomacy first before immediate retaliation or action IF POSSIBLE and I do believe that the faction as a whole can benefit from that to prevent situations from degrading into wars.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
I want to join the UNGOC to provide more RP and gameplay loops for the faction and the server as a whole as I see the faction as valuable to the server. I want to be able to provide that different style of gameplay for individuals that is far less common and centered around RP over full combat. I want to be able to provide the mixture between RP and some combat rather than full combat or full discussion based RP while providing a more unique gameplay due to the outstanding goals and quirks of the UNGOC as a whole. Additionally, I want to assist the faction in thriving and surviving as a whole as my main goal due to my love for the faction gameplay and lore wise. It has become my favorite faction over the time I have spent on the server and it takes place as my favorite department/faction on the server over ISD which it took place over. I want to assist others in their character stories and assist them lore wise with UNGOC characters if the request it as well as provide them gameplay loops that are interesting and engaging with such a unique faction.
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?:
The UNGOC was founded due to an occult based war during the same time as World War II. This was due to the SS Ahnenerbe and the Thule-Gesellschaft attempting to complete the Rite of Solomon via taking advantage of the LTE-0913-Ex-Machina. Overall, the UNGOC was founded due to this as a safeguard against other organizations that attempt to go rogue and do something similar.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
Physics is based around action. They are the scouts, combat oriented individuals, and field parathreat assessment for the UNGOC. They also focus on the capture and/or destruction of Threat Entities. They consist of Assessment Teams and Strike Teams. Assessment Teams will investigate and monitor parathreats while Strike Teams will engage, capture, or neutralize parathreats.
Psyche is the UNGOC branch focused on diplomacy. They consist of Special Observers and Ambassadors in lore. Prior to the dissolvement of the UNGOC currently in the server, they consisted of Attachés and Ambassadors. Lore wise, Special Observers focus on gathering information on archeological findings, scientific observation, and other investigations for possible new introductions of parathreat instances that have or have not yet been documented. Ambassadors focus on the diplomatic side of things through negotiations, treaties, and deal making with non-hostile groups in lore.
Ptolemy is focused around the support of the UNGOC. They are the support arm as a whole. This means individuals such as chefs, quartermasters, medics, research and development, etc are what this division consists of. They ensure that the UNGOC is running smoothly and to the best of operational capacity possible.
What are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
The main goal of the UNGOC also known as the Main Mission is to ensure the safety of humans against parathreats and ensure relations are friendly among occult organizations. It is also focused on the survival of humanity at all costs.
The Five Fold mission is as follows -
Mission 1: Survival - The survival of the human race against parathreats and the anomalous is the biggest priority and takes place over ALL other missions.
Mission 2: Concealment - The world must not know about parathreats as it will cause mass panic and deaths. Conceal the existence of parathreats as much as possible from the public.
Mission 3: Protection - Protect each human life when possible. All human lives matter and should not be taken for granted but are expendable when it comes to ensuring the success the first mission.
Mission 4: Destruction - Parathreats are anathema to the survival of humanity and must be destroyed when they are a threat to humanity as a whole as to take no unnecessary risks.
Mission 5: Education - Take every opportunity to expand the base of knowledge for the UNGOC against all parathreats as knowledge allows us to understand and better counter parathreats as a whole.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?:
The UNGOC is a different style of faction in comparison to others within the SCP-universe due to the fact of it being the most ethical and consisting of 108 different anomalous groups working as an organization like the United Nations in real life. The UNGOC focuses on the survival of humans to the best of their ability where as CI will focus on war and weaponization against groups they do not like and the Foundation will focus on testing using humans as test subjects. The UNGOC focuses on destruction of entities they deem too dangerous to be kept around while the Foundation focuses on containing what they can. CI instead will focus on weaponization of anomalies. The UNGOC has MUCH more undefined lore compared to the Foundation as only some of the 108 different groups are defined as well which allows for MUCH more creativity and storytelling possibilities. Some are fun and whimsical while others may be more serious but at the end of the day, no matter which part of the 108 a group is, they all want the same thing which is the survival of humanity at all costs. The UNGOC also has different structuring within designations of anomalies compared to other groups. It has even more complex standings with different anomalous or occult groups as a whole.
