- I am applying for O5-4. I have found myself recently pondering the idea about wanting to immerse myself back into the roleplay field instead of being solely combative again while also wanting to stay within the Council’s reach. Granted, I could have stayed on Assistant, but I feel like that wouldn’t satisfy me enough. I want to be able to help the Foundation as a whole and I wish to be able to help out departments on a wider spectrum, even helping those who are in a high position of power. The US Server is notoriously known for being a ‘combative’ server, but I want to change that and make moves leading it into a more RP-Friendly direction where everything can't be solved with guns and violence. I'm a firm believer in diplomacy, and lately I have been wanting to take this next step into my career to make adjustments for departments, whether big or small, to help them and other departments work more closely together and have more flexibility with their policies.
What makes you the best candidate for the O5 Council?:
- While being a member of Alpha-1’s REGCOM, I am always extending my hand out to help others within my regiment and I’ve enjoyed my interactions with people from outside my department. I understand leadership very well and I’m very stern when it comes to following codes and morals. I have previous experience as Site Admin and Department Leader roles, so I can understand the pressure and responsibility that will follow suit if I were to be chosen as the next Council Member. I also understand that I’m fully responsible to create more roleplay scenarios for those involved, so thankfully I’m not too shy to interact with people to create something enjoyable for everyone involved!
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council in RP?:
- Complete oversight of Site Administration
- Making sure Departments are fully following CoC, CoE, and the Legal Codex
- Approval of research tests requiring Council Approval
- Assigning Assistants & members of Alpha-1 with tasks to handle
- Interacting with Departments to see where they stand and if they are in need of any Council assistance
What are the responsibilities of the O5 Council out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
- Voting on the appointments of Alpha-1 Commander, Site Director, Assistants, and new Council Members
- Updating & publishing documents written by the Council
- Discussing issues, solutions, and concerns with different Departments that need Council intervention
- Assigning & creating tasks and orders for members of Alpha-1 and Assistants to participate in
Please give some lore about your O5 character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Alpha-1 Major ‘Wright’ had been a member of the mobile task force for quite some time. Although getting pulled in for her combat-prowess, she had always claimed herself to be a ‘pacifist’. While not remembering much during her employment at Site-65, she had always made the best of it to make new connections and re-kindle old ones under a different alias. She had always felt like she had accomplished more, but she could never figure out her past experiences no matter how hard she picked at her brain for. While working for the Council, she had always had a kind of admiration for the Council Members and has made it her mission to be as helpful and as secretive as them. While supposedly assigned to a Council Member, she had experienced an odd ‘lucid-dream’ like event that she told herself had to be real, but was talked down by the Council Member assigned to her that day and to “Attempt to never think about it again, for your health and well-being of course.”
While returning from an order with her fellow REGCOM member, the two were discussing how well their memories could take them. “Oh please, I don’t want to talk about remembering now.” She scoffed while walking into their office with a male following suit.
“Hey, just because you can’t remember what happened months ago doesn’t mean it’s a guaranteed bad thing. Hell, I can’t remember a lot of stuff but that doesn’t mean it causes any concern medical wise.” The male shrugged as he set his weapon down near the couch in their office and sat down with an audible gruff.
The woman let out a sigh as she pulled down her mask while propping her weapon on a wall, “I know, it’s just annoying to have such a hazy memory at this point in my career. Not a great start to becoming a future Commander, aye?”
The man watched her set herself onto the office chair behind their desk, “If you want to start thinking that way I suppose-” The male was cut off by the door opening, both of them turning their gazes to the intruding persons.
The woman was quick to get back up from her seat, “██-█, sir!” She quickly spoke as the long coated male appeared in the doorway. The male with her quickly followed suit as they both saluted the individual.
A coated male entered the door while a member of Alpha-1 followed suit and closed the door behind them before the coated male spoke, “-█ has gone MIA.”
There was a long pause in the room. “I… I’m sorry, -█?” The woman stuttered.
“Is that not what I said?” The man questioned as he took a seat in one of the guest chairs placed in front of their office desk.
“But sir… We were just with all the council members; how is that possible that he could’ve disappeared so easily?” The man quickly asked.
The coated man turned back to stare at the man, although only for a second it felt like eternity. “You’re dismissed, Commander.” He then turned back to the woman before him.
The two exchanged a worried glance before the man collected his weapon and promptly left the office. After leaving, the man found two members of Alpha-1 near the office speaking amongst each other, “Hey! What the hell happened to-!”
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The 3 members quickly turned towards where the gunshot was heard from. The door to the office opened once again for the coated man & the member of Alpha-1 to exit the office. “It seems you’ve lost a Major tonight, Commander.”
