What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Add the following Rule: A player must be restrained in order to weapon check them. (This applies to all jobs)

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):

+ Will lead to more common check point RP
+ Stops people from having a "hunch" and using a weapon checker to confirm it.
+ Better DC raid experience
+ Stops Gensec from spamming weapon checker through Airlock window and then shooting D-class when they find a weapon.
+ All around less metagame tickets for staff

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- You will now need to have more then 1 person to help safely confirm your "suspicions".

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

This will overall prolong RP interactions and remove players ability's to run around spamming the weapon checker.

For a simple weapon check there is no need to cuff a person first this would take too long imagine someone want´s to meet a CL5 and the CL4 personal has to be cuffed first. Plus CI would abuse it for kidnapping they would just ask to weapon check someone and cuff and gag and run away. Another reason would be that people would pull out guns before you able to cuff that person which makes it annoying for Gensec and MTF a like. Checkpoints would take too much time to check everyone because you have to cuff every individuell that wants to pass by.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to make this suggestion.

A rule regarding weapon checking is already in the staff rulings.

2.13 Weapon Checking - Players must have a valid RP reason to weapon check someone. i.e. Players coming out of 914 or 1162, Checkpoints, and ID checks.

This change would make the weapon checking process tedious, and the current ruling is what the superadmin team believes is justifiable.
