Why do you have to have microphone to get whitelisted for 096

Why do you need to have microphone to get whitelisted for 096? How does having mic as 096 improve roleplay? Isnt he not supposed to be able to speak? Do you have to screech at mic or smth Wouldnt using something like soundboard better for that
Also why do they only allow voice communications in recruitment interviews

Just say yes in the application, no one actually uses the mic, also there is no interview for 096

Due to this being an RP server, you can improve RP on certain jobs by talking, that being 049 and every other SCP that can talk, as u are not limited to only hearing the voice commands of 049 or nothing at all from other SCPs. On jobs though, like GenSec Captain, u need to be able to clearly speak and give out orders quick. U standing still while I.e code 2 and randomly starting to type x paragraph, u can get stabbed, and D Class with a lvl 4 are death sentences.
